Plugin delay compensationThe plugin delay compensation produces very annoying noises in some of my rather complex projects. The CPU load is under 50% and only 1/4 of my RAM is used so this cannot be the problem. Also decreasing the latency of my audio interface (MOTU Microbook) did not help.
Re: Plugin delay compensationwhy do you use the plugin delay compensation ?

Re: Plugin delay compensationBecause I am using plugins causig latency. The songs are completely out of time if I don't use this feature.
Re: Plugin delay compensationyou don't need it since orion 6, there is an Automatic Plugin Delay Compensation switch in the preference

Re: Plugin delay compensationI'm talking about the Plugin Delay Compensation in the Project Settings. This is what you mean, right?
Re: Plugin delay compensationsorry, this is what i meant, i was thinking about the delay plugin used before the automatic delay compensation

Re: Plugin delay compensation
imho, the problem is the load, the 50% used can be misunderstood when you use a multicore cpu. you can overload one core and your DAW or OS will still indicate there is some juice left but only on the other core. so, you have noise even with your load at 50% ! Re: Plugin delay compensationDo you have multicore use switched on in audio out settings?
Re: Plugin delay compensationout of curiosity, what plugin causing latency are you using ?

Re: Plugin delay compensation
Yes, I have. But I just recognized that the crackling in my current track must have another reason than assumed because the noise was still there after deactivating the delay compensation :/. But I once had a track were it was reproducible by switching it on/off. So it seems that i have to investigate what causes the noise in my current track.
For example the Convolution Reverb of the VSL Suite or the Vengeance Multiband compressor. My current track has a summarized latency of 1500.
