Hi!
I didn´t remember if I report this before but, when I use a bit big delays (not infite), and then Save, Orion randomly crash. Sometimes this will make loose part of work. I don´t specify my CPU specs, because this happens since many years ago, I think this always happen.
I dont´t Save while playing the song. I always stop the song before saving, but sometimes I Save 1 or 2 seconds later and some sound still was in background and then crash.
May be Orion must stop all sounds for a Safe Save or Save in background like, for example, Reaper.
Disable "Always Running" in Orion Config is a solution, but I need to work with that option enabled.

Delay and Save crash Orion, an old Issue."Pleeease, bring back ORION!"
Re: Delay and Save crash Orion, an old Issue. What if you double click the Stop button? That will stop all audio before you render. Does it still crash then?
Re: Delay and Save crash Orion, an old Issue.
Yes, also sometimes I use the "panic" shortcut (Home key), but it doesn´t help too much. Did you experience this problem? "Pleeease, bring back ORION!"
Re: Delay and Save crash Orion, an old Issue. No I've never experienced this.....just trying to help.......
Re: Delay and Save crash Orion, an old Issue.I guess you worked with different audio interfaces/pc hardware and different versions of Windows, right?
At least I can say, that I was suspicious of the auto save feature, because Orion´s that smart that it doesn´t save while you are in play mode, but it immediately saves when you press stop. And this was a bad sign for me be, because the sound engine is still running and playing, and you can hear a little break when you press stop and there are active "post effects" like delay. There might be no big difference between Orion in play mode and "Engine always running". Finally, I use the auto save function, because it doesn´t cause system crashes, no matter if it´s the auto save or if I save a song while play (except I am recording a track Just another thought. Maybe the problem is caused by the way you are using the effect. I´ve seen what happened to songs which I made a couple of years with older versions of Orion. It works and the sound didn´t change (for what I can say), but where did all the effects go? Let´s say there´s a distortion (the main effect I was using when I was young and stup.... wild) and the distortion is there, it sounds like it sounded when I made the track. But, for real, there´s no effect module! It seems like Orion compiles some elements deep in its *.sfs files, which brings a downward compatibility, but the price´s not only that you can´t edit those missing things. I worked on a couple of tracks over all the years since I started them, which means I was porting these songs from one version of Orion to the next. Let me put it to you this way: whenever I start to make a remake/remix of an old song, there´s a big chance of saving time and nervs by copying and pasting patterns, module settings (respectively presets) etc seperately by hand than just do "save as..." It´s like a virus that infected your song and there´s a cure, but nobody knows the cure... "I need more details."
Re: Delay and Save crash Orion, an old Issue.@dmassive - on which exactly delays do you get crash? And please try to reproduce the crash that you are able to provide effect's configuration or Preset export, before save to sfs.
