Last week i was working on a project and my external hdd ceased to work. Now i cant load any of the tracks that have samples from my sample folder on that hdd ( which are quite a few) so im at a loss of what to do. Any help would be awesome. Thanks

Re: orion crashes every time i open certain projectsOrion uses an absolute path instead of relative ones, which means to successfully find and load samples, it needs to be in the exact same place as they were when the song file was saved. That means the samples will have to be on the same letter-assigned partition (ie D: or E: or whatever letter your drive has been assigned, followed by the path to the sample). You can probably copy samples (if you have backups of them) to another drive/partition, and then just change the letter from the Windows Disk Manager (right click on (My)Computer -> Manage -> (on the left side) Disk Management) to match the same letter as it was before. That, of course, might make your other stuff stop working, like any installed software you might have on that drive/partition, so it's risky.
A different approach is to manually scan and collect missing samples from another location upon opening the project file (it will notify you of missing samples with an option to do so), but they will need to have the exact same file names as they're indicated within the project file. Re: orion crashes every time i open certain projectsAre you saying that Orion is crashing every time you open a project that has samples from your external HDD? I guess that other songs are loading normally?
I have bought myself a ssd and an external USB 3.0 HDD two weeks ago. I copied all stuff from my internel HDDs to the USB HDD and removed the internal ones. Everything works fine and Orion is working normally, re-directing the samples to their new location works like it should. What´s your HDD exactly? You say your HDD has crashed, right? Where are your songs stored? In case Orion tries to access data from corrupted sectors of your HDD (if you still use it) crashing could be a result by corrupted data. So far "I need more details."
Re: orion crashes every time i open certain projectsYou can send us one or more of your .sfs files, and we'll take a look. If the files are not corrupted, usually we can recover some or most of the data.

Re: orion crashes every time i open certain projectsThanks for the reply peeps. I will try the above and see what happens. If I have no luck I will definitely send the .sfs files in for you to have a look. Thanks again

Re: orion crashes every time i open certain projectsIt's a seagate free agent 250 gb. And I have the sfs files saved on one of my internal hdds it's just the sample folders that I had on my external hdd. It was one sample in particular that I loaded and then the next time I tried to access the song it crashed and hasn't worked since
