Hi,
First, let me compliment you ('the makers' )on a wonderful piece of software i've had the pleasure of using for years now. A couple of days ago, i purchased, downloaded and installed the Orion Studio 8.5 upgrade (up to then i was using 7.6.2) and again, nice work!
However, i do now have a rather annoying problem, very probably related to the upgrade:
If i use the "Stream to file" option to make an mp3 or wave file, the first bar of some of the generators, can't be heard in the resulting audio-file.
The rest of the file however, seems ok.
Please note: If i start the loop 1 bar before the beginning of the song, ALL generators can be HEARD from the start, but then there's an empty space at the beginning of the audio-file, of course.........
I've already tested:
* if the Generators were maybe temp. switched off with automation(<<< haven't used that yet)
* if the loop really started at the beginning of the bar
* if it maybe had something to do with (not)snap(ping ) to grid
* if it was (.sfs)file-specific (couldn't be, i tried an earlier version of the song, same result)
System information:
AMD Athlon 64x2 Dual 2.21 Ghz
2GB internal
Win XP SP3
Could you give me a hand here?
Thanks in advance

Re: Stream-To-File: Some instruments; no sound in first barIt's been reported before, even from the beta testing members during their testings, but seems it's quite random - some VSTs do that, others don't. But so far there hasn't been a viable fix for this.
Best solution for now, whenever you notice a VST exhibiting this behavior, move your arrangement further down the playlist from the 1st bar. SoundCloud ::: Facebook
Re: Stream-To-File: Some instruments; no sound in first barThanks for your time and advice, HYPNAGOGIA, but i moved the entire arrangement and it doesn't work. BTW, i start my projects some bars away from the first one anyway.
Re: Stream-To-File: Some instruments; no sound in first barI often face this problem. My workaround: Move the first midi note of all affected patterns just a few to ticks forward (you have to deactivate the note grid before).
Re: Stream-To-File: Some instruments; no sound in first barThx! knechtodawas, i'll try this one out, probably tomorrow.
Re: Stream-To-File: Some instruments; no sound in first barYou could also try inserting a pattern with a short note at the beginning (which you can cut out later from the audio file), or maybe an empty pattern (I haven't tried if that works) so that the renderer skips at that pattern (which you don't need anyway) and just continues with what you need.

Re: Stream-To-File: Some instruments; no sound in first barThanks HYPNAGOGIA I'll look into that also Also; to avoid misunderstandings; if i start the loop one bar before the song begins, al generators are switched on in the audio file. That was not the problem.
Re: Stream-To-File: Some instruments; no sound in first barknechtodawas? I just tried your advice on one of the generators...It works! Thanks very much!
And HYPNAGOGIA, you also thanks for your time.
Re: Stream-To-File: Some instruments; no sound in first barUhhhh, so, if a problem's solved...should i take some sort of action, or...? Hee, i'm a novice here
Re: Stream-To-File: Some instruments; no sound in first barIf it's solved, you're all good, and we're happy for you
