Re: Crash with no error - Need to Open File! Thanks, I found and tried renaming the drum.dat files but Orion won't start without them, doesn't get past the splash screen and displays an error.
Re: Crash with no error - Need to Open File!Ok then sorry. I thought it might be worth a shot just to see what happens. Too bad the Drumrack is hard coded into Orion otherwise you could move the .dll and try to force the song to open without it.
I seem to remember Rich has a tool that will allow or is able to open corrupt .sfs files so maybe send him a e-mail and ask for assistance.
Re: Crash with no error - Need to Open File! Those .dat files are part of Orion, I think they are for DrumRack. From what I'm seeing, they always reside inside Orion's root folder (regardless where you installed it).

That was my thinking......maybe temporarily removing those .dat files might force them to be re-written and allow the .sfs to open. It was a very long shot but worth a try at least...........
Re: Crash with no error - Need to Open File!I'm thinking the track may be a lost cause. Unfortunate as there was some good material that I've been unable to reproduce.
Re: Crash with no error - Need to Open File!
unhappily, i think the same, maybe Richard will look for a solution ... don't forget to use auto backup Yamaha CS-30, Roland SH-1, Roland MKS70, Focusrite Scarlett 18i6, Yamaha FS1R, Oberheim Matrix 1000, Novation Remote 37SL, Korg Legacy, Alesis M1Active 520, Novation Launchpad Pro, Push2, Intel i7-7700HQ

I think you'd need to reinstall Orion for them to be re-written again in the folder. SoundCloud ::: Facebook
