Orion 7.5 failing to start

I haven't used Orion for a while maybe a month or two. I've started it today and it I get the splash screen saying "Scanning DX effect plugins..." - it hangs at this point and never loads.

I've restarted my computer a few times and get the same problem. I'm running Win 8.1 with i5 CPU.

Is there some cache I can try deleting to get Orion to start? I haven't changed any VST's or the VST path (as far as I am aware). Any tips appreciated - thanks!

Happily this seems to have resolved itself. I started another DAW (Renoise) and then went back and loaded Orion and it worked. No idea why but glad Orion is still working

I have the same problem with 7.6 I added a directory for cakewalk vst plugIns and from that moment Orion will not open. Is there a way of resetting it to force it to open. I uninstalled it reinstalled it still won't open. But I know why now. And what not to do. Thanks in advance
