Issue on Orion 8.02 - Stylus RMX Instal

Hi everyone, so sorry to bother but I've installed Stylus RMX on Synapse Orion 8.02 and
when the software needs to manually be located to the SAGE folder.

I would be really happy if I could solve the issue.

All you can do is try to install Orion 8.5 or the last public beta 8.6. The developers have said that Orion will no longer be developed any further.

Sorry but happens the same issue on the 8.5 version.

So what exactly is the problem? At what point in the process did Orion crash?

What OS are you using?

You could try the 8.6 Public Beta which is the last version of Orion. If Orion crashes every time you try to manually locate the Sage Folder I don't know else what you can do.

I've got a few plugins that simply won't load in the latest Beta. There's nothing I can do about it......

I had a problem with Serum crashing Orion (when the plugin was deleted or Orion closed).
Got around this by using ImageLine Minihost modular (free) as a 'wrapper' for the VST and it works fine. Might be worth a shot.

No it's not worth faffing about in Orion anymore. I've got other DAWs so it's time to move on. I just had a small developer tell me since Orion has been discontinued it's not even worth checking out issues.

Here's the message I get with AMT Plugins.



They work just fine in the other 3 DAWs on that system. I sent a support request to AMT but no response. Possibly because they don't see a need to spend time supporting a discontinued DAW either. I've had other plugins that can be resized in other DAWs not work in Orion and so on. I imagine these issues with new plugins will become more numerous as time goes on.

I still love Orion but I won't use it for composing anymore. It's still great as a "synth rack" to load up a bunch of synth plugins and layer them together just for playing.

If Synapse ever decides to take up development of Orion again I'll be first in line for testing but until then.......

Oh and I don't blame Synapse for their decision one bit. I would have done the same.

I dont have any vst's that wont load, no reason they shouldnt. Even new stuff i was testing worked fine (apart from the usual gui issues, which Orion seems to have problems with resizing etc, but devs seem to still be able to do workarounds...)

Stylus is pretty old. This is the first time ive heard of any issues, but, as others said, apart from a point update thats coming (which may or may not solve your problem) you are prob better looking elsewhere.
