? CORRUPTED FILES situation ?

Postby gnosticboy » Fri Jul 01, 2016 10:14 am

Hello colleagues !

Thank you developers — I use Orion for 10 years. Its algorithms are literally in my blood.

Now I'm preparing to release my best on some vinyl labels, and firstly going to cataloguing all stuff to make generally things clear.

But already I see very sad to know folder with tens of corrupted files. Few of them are about cool things, others not.

What can we do with this? It's a high-class priority task to do, so I can pay to specialists, that can fix my broken projects.

Good people of Orion, please help to communicate. Please help to understand what should we do.

P.S. RIP ORION + + +

What is corrupted? Your song files? Samples? Your data on the HDD itself?
I got one song that broke one day and that's it, still not working. Even merge does not work. So if the error occured because Orion saved something wrong, you are screwed :|
Try opening songs with older versions of Orion. If your data is corrupted because your HDD is damaged DON'T TRY TO REPAIR THE HDD YOURSELF because if you are really going to give it to specialists for money, they could recover more data. I made that experience myself but I tried that hard so the HDD was ultimately destructed ?

Like ThehakkeMadman wrote, "File/Merge" is a good idea trying to recover something from broken projects. If you had a HDD failure, it is somewhat unlikely though you will be able to recover more than sequencer/pattern/note data.

If you want us to look at a specific project file, send us a PM and we'll see what we can recover.
