Computer too slow, Legend Rack Extension

Whenever I try to use Legend RE in Reason (with NO other instruments or effects open or running), I get a message that my computer is too slow.

I'm really frustrated with this as my laptop easily matches required specs, as it has an 2Ghz i7 and 8GB Ram.

This issue has been occurring since before the patches for the kernel issue identified with Intel.

I simply cannot get the use out of this rack extension. Even a simple piano roll bass line will crash the extension out.

Are there any updates to improvement the behaviour of the RE?
