[Solved] Dune 3 (Demo) does not remember chosen skin/size

Solved: this is reportedly a limitation of the demo version.

Dune 3 (Demo) does not remember chosen skin and always use the “Default” one.

So if a user uses a 4K monitor at 200%, they are forced to change skin/size to “Huge” over and over again each time a new Dune 3 instance is created or an existing project is reopened. This is unusable.

Other VST instruments (such as u-he’s synths, Arturia’s synths, Spire) remember their size either permanently or at least per-project. Dune does neither of these.

Also, it would make sense to change skin/size automatically depending on the OS zoom level — this is what standalone DPI-aware applications usually do without a need for user to change app-UI scale manually. For example, it would be natural to change skin/size to “Huge” automatically at OS zoom of 200% when a new instance of Dune 3 is created, while (important) maintaining skin/size of previously created instances including those in reopened previous projects.

The full version remembers the size and what skin is selected (if you have others besides Default to choose from). Or at least it does here.

Has anyone regretted switching to the full version? I'm enjoying the demo so far, but things like this make me want to get the full version.

Good. Is skin size remembered permanently (once skin is chosen in one instance, each new instance will have that skin) or per-instance (user is forced to switch to the desired skin over and over again for each new Dune 3 instance)? Thanks.
