Found this strange problem in combination with Cubase 5 on Windoze 7 x64. Don't know about other platforms.
Never saw such a problem with any other plugin thus suspect it's a plugin-problem rather than host-problem.
What I did:
- Opened Cubase
- Started empty project
- Loaded Dune 3.5 x64 VST plugin
- Chose A-013 "Church Pipe RH" patch
What happened then:
- Dune played and correctly displayed "Church Pipe RH" patch in middle of window
- However, Cubase and top of Dune-window showed patch with next lower number (A-012 "Church Bell RH") instead
-> See attached screenshot
- When storing and re-loading project, Cubase loaded this wrong patch (A-012 "Church Bell RH")
- Problem happens systematically on my system
Same problem seems to apply for at least following patches:
- A-004 "Axon Morph RH"
- A-007 "Beach RH"
- A-025 "Eastern Mallet RH"
- A-049 "Kick 909 RH"
- A-050 "Koto RH"
- A-097 "Solid Bass RL"
- A-099 "Space Brother Pad RL"
- A-120 "Unison Seq RH"
- A-122 "VengeanZ RL"
- A-124 "Voyage RH"
- A-126 "Wave Morph 2 IW"
- A-128 "Wind RH"
- B-069 "Noiza DG"
- B-080 "PWM Sync DG"
- B-084 "Phazing Fax Bass RL"
- B-088 "Pulvillus MH"
- B-092 "Roboter MH"
- B-096 "Satellite DG"
- B-111 "Sync Lead 2 IW"
- B-115 "Talkbox RH"
- B-119 "Toytown DG"
- B-123 "Upper East Side PK"
- B-127 "Wave Bass DG"
Any clues what may have gone wrong?
Many thx in advance & cheers!

Re: Dune 3.5, Cubase 5 does not keep "Church Pipe RH" patchI tested it in Cubase 6-64 as well as an older version of Cubase, ie Cubase 4.
In the latest Cubase (6.0.4 to be precise), 64-bit edition, I get the same problem you have, while it works properly in the older edition. Admin - Synapse Audio Software

Re: Dune 3.5, Cubase 5 does not keep "Church Pipe RH" patchI looked further into the issue. Dune transmits the patch correctly, and Cubase seems to be the only host with this problem.
After some Googling, I found some threads on the Cubase forums: http://www.cubase.net/phpbb2/viewtopic.php?p=991469 http://forum.cubase.net/phpbb2/viewtopic.php?t=137495 http://forum.cubase.net/phpbb2/viewtopic.php?t=136833 So it's not just Dune affected, it seems. As a workaround, you could save your work from within DUNE (click on PATCH/BANK!), and avoid the Cubase patch browser. Another option is to click the preset arrow in DUNE after restoring a project, in order to get the saved patch. Note that Cubase restores projects correctly, including DUNE and its settings. Unfortunately it transmits a Program Change message with the wrong preset number later on, when the loading process completed. In the next DUNE update I'll see if I can find a workaround, but it's clearly a Cubase bug. Admin - Synapse Audio Software

Re: Dune 3.5, Cubase 5 does not keep "Church Pipe RH" patchOK, I'll try the proposed work-around(s).
Many thanks for your help! Cheers, G.
Re: Dune 3.5, Cubase 5 does not keep "Church Pipe RH" patchOk I tested some more.
Indeed both Cubase 5 and Cubase 6 cannot handle anything but exactly 128 presets. While DUNE does use 128 presets per bank (as required by the MIDI standard), the total number of patches is 384 - there is 3 banks, and each bank has 128 patches. Admin - Synapse Audio Software
