Recently I faced two different issues, but as both of them have to do with song export I summarize them in this thread.
1. Sometimes I have an export issue with instruments which are playing at bar #1 of a song. It may happen, that one of these instruments is muted in the first few seconds of the exported wave file. The playback of this instruments then starts a few bars later. So far it happened with ReFX Nexus² and Native Instruments Massive.
2. When exporting a track being made only with EastWest Play3 instruments, the wav file is full of crackles and noises. Exporting a single EastWest drum sound is enough to provoke this behaviour. I will also contact EastWest concerning this one.

Re: Two export issuesI had a similar problem. I export to audio, start of tracks were distorted. I opted for the cycle time before tracks (one bar before). Distortion was gone.
Here's the answer, if I understand the question. Do not twist the handle, if you do not know why you need it!

Re: Two export issues
I think I have figured out the reason for the export issue with EastWest Play 3 instruments. I tried to export a Play 3 track from Reaper and the same noises as described above were present in the exported wave file. Then I selected 1x rendering speed and everything was fine. If I had looked into the EastWest knowledge base before, I could have known this before:
So is there a way in Orion to render wave files in real time? EDIT: Apart from using an external wave editor to record the audio .
Re: Two export issuesYes I've heard of it happening with Massive, but from what I understand, this occurs with the *unpurchased* versions...
Re: Two export issues
Mhh, my version is definitely purchased.
Re: Two export issues
no, but you can use some free recorder plug in like voxengo recorder http://www.voxengo.com/product/recorder/ Yamaha CS-30, Roland SH-1, Roland MKS70, Focusrite Scarlett 18i6, Yamaha FS1R, Oberheim Matrix 1000, Novation Remote 37SL, Korg Legacy, Alesis M1Active 520, Novation Launchpad Pro, Push2, Intel i7-7700HQ
Re: Two export issuesThank you for your suggestion. Unfortunately this plugin is 32 bit only. I will look around, if I can find a 64 bit alternative.
Re: Two export issuesTry inserting a couple of bars of silence at the beginning, or a few bars of the offending instrument playing notes with 0 velocity (ie inaudible). Or, two bars of that instrument playing solo at the beginning (which when rendered you won't hear) then cut the silence off when exported in an audio editor.
Re: Two export issuesAnother suggestion would be to sample the instrument and insert that in its place for a few bars where it's not playing.
Re: Two export issuesThank you for the advice. For problem #1 (it was a silly idea from me to put two different export problems into one thread ) I have found another workaround: Moving the first note a few ticks in the piano roll helps and is not audible.
