Re: New wavetablesI'll have to go back to it and download/listen. I do have a license for it. Anyway, if you mean harsh then yes
I was hoping to post some tutorial gifs here, but I think they're too big. I'll try to rescale them later and try again.
Re: New wavetablesI wonder why I haven't received any download links to these wavetables even though I have paid for them and sent you email?
Re: New wavetables
Just checking that you did get these in the end. I sent them earlier in the week. Sorry you had to wait!
Re: New wavetablesI'm just in the process of uploading some drum and percussion wavetables for those that have purchased the wavetable bundle from me. Here's a little Soundcloud demo that highlights some of the sounds that can be made:

Re: New wavetablesI've just uploaded DUNE2 wavetables for purchasers that allow you to do Yamaha style FM using wavetables. These are all the operators based on the OPL3 chip, the TX81z and SY99. The deal here is that you use audio rate modulation from another oscillator to change wavetable position thus allowing FM with waveforms that are not just sine waves. Each slot is the same waveform, but at different phases. You will need to set the modulation rate settings to above normal to get a decent sound. I'll upload some patches to get you going tomorrow.
Re: New wavetablesI've uploaded 47 patches for DUNE2 to each users area - mostly audiorate modulation stuff showing off the waveshaper and FM phase change wavetables. I hope you find them useful/usable!
Re: New wavetablesThanks Mark and have a happy Christmas.

Re: New wavetablesHappy Christmas! I hope Santa brings you all some lovely toys!
Re: New wavetablesHappy New Year everyone.
I spent quite a bit of Christmas working on new wavetables for DUNE2 etc as well as recording from some of my hardware to make wavetables with. Some of the former wavetables are based on wave terrain synthesis (search Google if you have an interest in what this is ). The version that I have developed uses 3D wave terrains, as opposed to the more common 2d wave terrains. Here are two rushed audio examples of the new wavetables in action: https://soundcloud.com/markholt/spiralling-wt-demo https://soundcloud.com/markholt/mh-trans-terrain-wt-demo I'll be releasing some demo wavetables from this collection and patches soon. For the full set go to: https://charlesdickens.neocities.org/
Re: New wavetables for DUNE2New wavetables (mostly FM) uploaded for existing subscribers - more to come over the weekend. Also, I have uploaded some demo wavetables for the Waldorf Blofeld here:
https://charlesdickens.neocities.org/ The link is at the top of the page. Also go here if you would like to subscribe (one off payment of £10) for lifetime wavetables for DUNE2 and other wavetable synths.
Re: New wavetables for DUNE2I'm just in the process of uploading >2000 new wavetables for current users of the wavetable library that I've produced. All wavetables are compatibile with Icarus, Serum, Falcon and similar synths that use wavetables with 2048 samples per cycle. There are also 64x128 sample cycle versions for Waldorf Blofeld compatibility. I'm not aware of any single library anywhere that has >2000 entries!
However, I have dropped DUNE2 support. That is because DUNE3, which I am involved with testing, imports wavetables of the 2048 sample variety and can also export DUNE2 wt format for use in DUNE2. DUNE3 still also uses the wt format! The problem for me is that the file size is quite large and takes up more of my cloud space than is necessary. If this is a problem for you then let me know and I will convert them for you, however, you can also use the excellent Audioterm program for conversion yourself. For Blofeld wav->syx conversion I recomend Waldorf Blofeld Wavetable Creator 1.00 from: http:/lady.rdsor.ro/~kotro The wavetables being uploaded are all computed in Mathematica 11. I have developed simulations fro various FM synths, Casio CZ/VZ synths, analogue waveforms filtered with unusual (non-existent) filters, Karplus Strong type sounds as well as Karplus Strong cycles and other waveforms, e.g., analogue, fed in to the FM algorithms to simulate those FM synths that use AWM samples as inputs. I have also used some signal (mode) decomposition techniques that I currently use for my work to split samples in to different frequency bands since I miss the LP>BP>HP morph filter from DUNE1 so much! There are now over 2500 wavetables in the library and if you haven't bought in to the free lifetime updates then you can do so here: https://charlesdickens.neocities.org/ It costs £10 - that's 2 pints of beer where I live
Re: New wavetables for DUNE2
Re: New wavetables for DUNE2I've had some questions from various users and potential users a long the line of "can I use these wavetables in my own free/commercial soundsets?"
The answer is yes with the following criteria: 1) You acknowledge the source of the wavetables, i.e., my website - https://charlesdickens.neocities.org/ 2) You give me a copy of your soundbank - I won't use any of the content for my own enterprise don't worry. It's more to see what people do with the wavetables 3) You are allowed to use 25 wavetables per 100 patches. If you want more than that then please contact me and we can discuss further
