DAW PC Build suggestions

Never had a laptop. It always seemed to be that you paid way too much for an under powered unit. For the same money I got an amazing desktop. I doubt I will ever get a laptop. Too small for my old eyes.

I presently have a e-machine it has been very reliable and pretty good but just comes up short because it is only a dual core 2.7hz 8gig ram it does ok but breaks up under load. Maybe I will end up buying a motherboard/chip and case and slowly build a pc.. Just need to pick those three things out..
