im pretty sure its true to say Orion is what Rich wants its to be, with poss some inclusionsions based on user input...i dont think its ever going to be like Cubase/Sonar etc, cos Rich doesnt want that...at least its the impression i have got over the years
i dont see anything wrong with that, it suits me as is, so im a happy user...YMMV

same here, infact, it hasnt stopped me making music since the first version i bought, before Pro, quite the opposite
Same here. There was a few month stretch when I didn't make anything during a bout of 'Platinum turbulence' where my Pro and early Platinum .sfss would make OP unstable. Aside from that short outage, it's stayed out of my way for the most part. (Sure would love that Song Merge feature though )

I'm sorry but what gives one user the right to say "What Orion is" over another user?
You're free to say Orion is a tree or a garage - but you'd be wrong, wouldn't you? (And having read pretty much every advertised description of Orion, this is what I've gleaned.) As usual, folks are free to correct me if I'm wrong.

Feature request? But that's not what Orion is.............It's there to help you lay down ideas not to taze you into creativity and do your work for you by allowing you to Merge your Songs.
But seriously I'm always amused by the attitude that some users have....... If it's something they want it's a "feature request" if it's something they don't want it's "Bloat".

I know, most of the potential buyers at there even refuse to come here, because of the regular responses of some older users.
You make some good points there.
I tried once to make a thread here just for feature requests, no other posts either for or against any particular request. Just someplace Rich could go to get a feel for what the users want and perhaps get an idea or two what to do with Orion in future versions without having to read through dozens of posts arguing for or against a certain feature. But alas the thread quickly deteriorated since apperently the concept of "only post feature requests in this thread, use the other thread for discussions" was far too complex.
Polls at KVR might be a good idea since you'd probably get more feedback from potential buyers but you'd also get a lot more static making the clear signal what people would want a lot harder to decipher and I'm not sure Rich has either the desire or time to check threads at KVR.
