RPM ChallengeIf you have ten years of unreleased music, you could just pick and choose.
RPM ChallengeI do, but I won't. I'm whipping up new freshness as we speak. Merge fucking ROCKS for this! Using this as an excuse to pump out some of the half-baked ideas I've had mocking me for months.

RPM ChallengeYour ideas mock you?
RPM ChallengeSweet mother of God! I guess if one wants to be brush up the production chops or test themselves as a potential jingle or staff writer...Maybe? But hate to say Epi, it also makes me think of a day care with a bunch of macaroni, glitter, and white paste. It's nice to see Van Gogh pictures in a magazine - but a magazine Van Gogh would never contribute to if alive.
I have my moments, and I get my paycheques... RPM doesn't pay enough for me to even try to give them a moment. But if that mountain is taunting you Epi - climb that monster as best you can! Me, I'm walking around it.
RPM Challenge1 night, 9 minutes of new material. I'd say that's a pretty good start.

RPM ChallengeSectionZ held their Summer Electronic Music Games a few years ago, which is similar in a lot of ways to the RPM challenge. I developed a great deal during them.. even won one and placed in several others (helping broadcast some of the shows from Chicago was tons of fun as well), and almost all of the songs I started for the compos have fleshed out into tracks I'm really happy with. Time constraints force you to abandon some habits which pushes you into learning more about the tools you use.
Considering the draw the RPM challenge has, you're virtually guaranteed that there'll be lots of entries much worse than yours Last edited by epilogue on Wed Feb 04, 2009 7:12 pm, edited 1 time in total.
