Get them while they're hot! Semi-randomised like for Wasp and WaveFusion (see relevant topics). The Tomcats required some extra tweaking, but that's what your going to do anyway, aren't you?

New Ultran and Tomcat presets.Nice selection of presets Mark! I have just started working with the Tomcat recently so this gives me a lot of interesting examples to work with.
New Ultran and Tomcat presets. It wasn't me, it was the randomiser Enjoy! Why don't you post some presets at O-R if you get anything useful?
New Ultran and Tomcat presets.I am still trying to get the Tomcat figured out. The frequency settings for the oscillators seem strange. The majority of frequencies available by turning the knobs are not in 12et tuning. And why is the frequency range for oscillator 3 from 0-128?
New Ultran and Tomcat presets.I wouldn't get too caught up with the numbers. Use your ears! I noticed today that Osc3 is different. Again it doesn't matter. The frequencies only matter if you want tuned percussion I guess, but how that relates to the piano roll, hmm, dunno.
New Ultran and Tomcat presets.I have been working on tuned percussion sounds with the Tomcat and it works for oscillators 1 + 2. I have no idea what is going on with oscillator 3 as far as frequency, it seems mainly useful in defining the attack portion of the sound. In reference to using the piano roll, I just set a note to C and create the patch tuned to a C also, it seems to work.
Of course for many percussion sounds "tuning" is largely subjective. A real bass drum has at least 150 identifiable frequencies.
New Ultran and Tomcat presets. You're right that Osc3 is for the attack portion for making thumps and clicks, so I guess frequency info isn't so important.
New Ultran and Tomcat presets.i am writing a song for your little daughter with your ultran and tomcat presets
i hope she will like it ! Yamaha CS-30, Roland SH-1, Roland MKS70, Focusrite Scarlett 18i6, Yamaha FS1R, Oberheim Matrix 1000, Novation Remote 37SL, Korg Legacy, Alesis M1Active 520, Novation Launchpad Pro, Push2, Intel i7-7700HQ
New Ultran and Tomcat presets. She's looking forward to hearing it! Glad you find the presets useful enough to actually make a song with them!
New Ultran and Tomcat presets.Great stuff Mark! The Ultran ones bring me back to my old Roland SH synths. Really nice work with that VCO2. But I noticed some of the patches are nearly inaudible being so filtered and/or sub bass. But cool in that it shows Ultran can be THAT powerful. The Tomcat stuff is cool too, and amazing how many tones you can squeeze out of that thing. I always looked at it as a glofiried Bass Drum Box. But may have to reconsider it as a MC-32 sequencer now.
Fantastic Mark, really appreciate these!
