korg nanoThings like that should just work, I wouldn't worry about it. If you want one, just buy it.

korg nanoI bought the nanoKontrol a few days ago to stress-test the new MIDI In features of Orion 8. It's working very well so far! Quite amazing what controllers you get these days for so little money (<$100).
It happens to have 9 faders/knobs, just like the master section in Orion. With the powerful templates in Orion 8, I'll make a master template that you can add to any existing or new project, so that with 1 click you can control the whole master section with the nanoKontrol knobs+faders. korg nanoThat's a very cool use for Templates that I hadn't really thought of, although with the very limited number of controls on my KB37, I can't myself taking advantage of it.

you need full HUI implementation to have the motorized fader to respond to orion. i have the problem with my TASCAM Yamaha CS-30, Roland SH-1, Roland MKS70, Focusrite Scarlett 18i6, Yamaha FS1R, Oberheim Matrix 1000, Novation Remote 37SL, Korg Legacy, Alesis M1Active 520, Novation Launchpad Pro, Push2, Intel i7-7700HQ
korg nanoBut if You have few presets in hardware's memory then faders doesnt update their position after preset change to earlier saved position?
I've readed in manual that it work just in that way (no need directly to set it from software).
korg nanoi don't know
how do you save the earlier position ? is it automatic when you change the preset ? Last edited by Christophe on Thu Mar 05, 2009 9:25 am, edited 1 time in total.

korg nanoFrom manual:
"The eight 100-mm faders of the BFC2000 are freely assignable for controlling MIDI commands. They are motorized, so the automatically slide into the predeterminied position when You switch to another preset." That means yes. You can save presets and faders slides to preset's save position after preset change. Furthermore in manual You can read also: "If the software you are controlling or the MIDI device to which your B-CONTROL is connected support parameter feedback, the fader positions change automatically." That mean it is also possible to control fader's positions of BCF2000 from app, when You change fader's position in eg. Orion, but this is not needed for me, becouse I want control Orion from hardware, not vice versa. This is beautiful thing. BCF2000 has preset's memory and when I work with some projects in Orion and/or few synths in one project this is just one change preset to receive earlier synth's parameters values without any bypass and changing knobs to specified position, which I never member. Go here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sgJuG84Jxt4 ... and start watching from eg. 8:00 (sorry that it is FL, but, BCF2000 is presented). No, but the Korg nano works in 7.62 too. Also, if you buy now, you'll save money because the upgrade will be $49 initially and Orion 8 will be $199 or more. Admin - Synapse Audio Software

Does nanoKontrol has any bypass mode for changing fader's or knob's positions without affects to software? (eg. switching controlling between master and mixer)?
