Hey folk,
I have the first release of my new synthy here->WAVform108. It has 3 osc where you can draw waves(and export as SM .txt or .wav up to 4096 samples long) these can be loaded into another 3 slots. The first draw osc modulates the first slot osc with RM and FM and so on. You have to use host save or .fxp to save your work, something is screwy with the internal presets. If you'd like to make some presets I am planning to get a bank together. Anyway, have a play if you'd like, all comments and critique welcome, ideas. Here is a screenie(the resolution is better with the plug)->

To delete points on the draw osc, just drag them off the edge of the frame. The slot oscs have waveforms available if you left click them. Let me know what you'd like with it if you fancy.
Regardies
Nick

Draw waves with curves-> WAV108 VSTiHi, your VSTi is not recognized under 7.62 orion, even by including it in (vstcfg.txt) to review ...
Trance_Techno_French amateur
Draw waves with curves-> WAV108 VSTiDrats.
I have it running fine in 7.62 here. I'll try to think of something I could change. Maybe I can compile it in a different version of SynthMaker. I'll test under XP, what OS and system you have? Also there is a problem with automation parameter names. It's an SM bug we think. @ Synapse, here is another SM VST you can test the automation names glitch with if you like, I would sure appreciate it. If anyone else would like to test if it can be loaded in 7.62 that would be cool. Cheers
Draw waves with curves-> WAV108 VSTiOkay I tried in XP and it worked. I dunno man, that usually never happens in Orion with SM VSTs. Maybe I'll think of something to try..
Sorry
Draw waves with curves-> WAV108 VSTinice synth i think you can make a sh!t load of sounds with it.
however 3 things 1. it takes hours to load here donno why 2. i really miss a button how to clear the wave on the top and dont know how to delete points (possible?) 3. is it possible to also load waveforms so you can re-use these you can save it as a txt so..? but for my first look its impressive already made some nice sound with it in 5 min! Did You Know you can download my albums on 1albums.com and you can promote your own there to

Draw waves with curves-> WAV108 VSTi1.Yeah the load times are a pain with SM plugs. It's something to do with loading fonts I think, I could render as many as possible. 2.I'll see if I can make a clear button. All the LFOs need that too now come to think of it(surely can do with LFOs). To delete points drag them out of the window, we're working on double click to delete. 3. Yep hit the little L next to the slot osc. If you are making longer wavetables than 256 right click the waveform and select your length. The drawn waveforms you have to save as .sfs or you can save as .fxp, I'll work on loading and saving them unrendered. That's peaches you got some sounds first up, nice btw there is a little led menu top right where you can select out of 3 waveforms at the top, just in case you didn't see it. When you double click the led next to one of the slot oscs it loads the visible top drawn form to that slot. Let me know if you have any more thoughts for features. Also it seems to pretty well chew CPU for others, how is that for you? It's fine on my system<3%, but mine sucks it up. Much regards folk
Draw waves with curves-> WAV108 VSTiOn Dual Core 2.2 ... 50% - 70% and even >100% of CPU?
Hmm ...
Draw waves with curves-> WAV108 VSTiSorry intro one.
I'll see if I can do anything about that. Would you mind testing for me? To start with I will make just the wave draw module a VST. I'll up later to day. If anyone wants to let me know if they can run it I would be sure appreciative. It's kinda hard to see when I have improved performance on my system.
Draw waves with curves-> WAV108 VSTiHere is just the wavedraw. If you want to test it intro one that would be great to know how much CPU it uses->

Draw waves with curves-> WAV108 VSTiwith your test it gives now 3% cpu nice one good sound still

Draw waves with curves-> WAV108 VSTiCool, nice. What was your CPU on the entire build matthy? Also if you don't mind what system have you?
btw. Here is a synth where you can load WTs you have made with the WAV test-> http://www.amvst.com/index.php?name=Dow ... ails&id=39 For the time being until I sort the CPU Last edited by nix on Thu Apr 02, 2009 11:37 pm, edited 1 time in total.
Draw waves with curves-> WAV108 VSTithe entire build had a CPU of 30% so its not in the wavedraw system

Draw waves with curves-> WAV108 VSTiI get 35% here with a Core 2 Duo 2.2Ghz. Nix, is there a chance of you providing a link to the osm file so we can help find the hog?
Draw waves with curves-> WAV108 VSTiCheers nix. Looks really nice. Intro-one's high cpu problem (and I saw the same going to >100% as the note fades out) is a denormal problem. Stick a denormal remover immediately after your midi-to-poly modules and the problem is fixed. I'm now getting 18% CPU after doing that. You can find it quickly by typing cpu in to the search box.
I'll keep looking to see if any more CPU cycles can be saved, but I reckon a lot will come from the four filters that you've got there. Anyway, good work. Sounds good. WaveFusion on steroids. Would be nice if you could scan the wave like with WaveFusion, but I think that might add CPU and would probably increase load times.
