Hi,
I'm 24 and within 2 weeks I'll be a mechanical engineer (and unoffiially hired for indutrial HVAC!). But for my last year I choose a project wich deals with acoustics and signal processing.
here is the beta of my paper http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?zdgkvmjmgh3
just a few changes to correct, but the work is there.
It doesen"'t go very deep in the theory cause I'm mechanical specialized after all.
For those who can understand french, there are some interresting points on
: convolution, deconvolution, crosstalk cancellation, spatialization and center panoramic extraction (which can be used as a denoiser). (I made these parts and not the first 2 introductives ones).
I have to say that first I didn't know where I was going, and I almost build everything on the DSPGuide that can be found online. My teacher where totallly out and I was the only one to see the mistakes I made and that I need to change... but its over now !
have fun if si vou pouvez me lire !

Last edited by Eklectro on Mon Jun 15, 2009 8:29 pm, edited 1 time in total.

final year digital signal processing project [in french!]Congrats Electro! Watch out for Bones if he's ever looking for a 'Industrial Engineer', you may just get a odd phone call to help him record. :superlol:
Probably would sound pretty cool in the end still.
final year digital signal processing project [in french!]LOL - I don't speak French but I see Reaktor's screens :=)
Can You give me name of software You also use to do plots of math/fft functions etc. etc.? Last edited by Marcin on Tue Jun 16, 2009 8:35 pm, edited 1 time in total.
final year digital signal processing project [in french!]I used vst fft analyzer (roger digital's ixl analyzer one can export the fft to xls), or the soundforge one.
actually I wanted a solution like wave to xls and xls to wav... that I didn't found. In reaktor you can edit painfully all points of the memory (table). hum, I'll wait to see how it works in Nanterre (near paris), then I'll call Bones Orion 8, Live 8Le, Cubase 4 LE, Cantana, APC40, UC16, Fostex PM1MKII, Q9550, 4G0, 1,5T, 22"+15"

final year digital signal processing project [in french!]what does HVAC mean ?
HVAC est un sigle pouvant désigner : * Heating, Ventilation and Air-Conditioning ou chauffage, ventilation et climatisation, * High Voltage Alternative Current ou courant alternatif haute tension, Yamaha CS-30, Roland SH-1, Roland MKS70, Focusrite Scarlett 18i6, Yamaha FS1R, Oberheim Matrix 1000, Novation Remote 37SL, Korg Legacy, Alesis M1Active 520, Novation Launchpad Pro, Push2, Intel i7-7700HQ
final year digital signal processing project [in french!]dans ce cas présent il s'agit de clim / groupes de puissance calorifique.
et merci pour l'autre dénomination que j'avais oublié Orion 8, Live 8Le, Cubase 4 LE, Cantana, APC40, UC16, Fostex PM1MKII, Q9550, 4G0, 1,5T, 22"+15"

final year digital signal processing project [in french!]Why not IRCAM is the question.
final year digital signal processing project [in french!]because ircam means loosing money and HVAC is winning money

final year digital signal processing project [in french!]Gotcha. I was really into IRCAM about 15 or so years ago. They developed software that could literally lift a particular viola lets say out of a orchestra recording. Lots of revolutionary ideas, and a swell environment to do them in at the time. But by todays standards....?
Today HVAC, tomorrow Dubai! Last edited by Dungeon Studio on Wed Jun 17, 2009 8:41 pm, edited 1 time in total.
