I think the time has passed when we need to Make Orion fit on an 800x600 screen. Spreading out the Main Toolbar parameters will make it look better and a bit of separation will make it better to work with, too.
So the question is simple - do you work at less than 1280x768 resolution? The simplest thing is if only people who answer "yes" should reply. If I get no responses in a few days, I will forge ahead on the assumption that 1280 is fine for everyone.

Important Research Question - Monitor Resolution?1680x1050 22" LCD
Important Research Question - Monitor Resolution?1920 x 1080 18.5" on my laptop.
2048 x 1536 22" TFT on my desktop's primary monitor; 1024 x 768 17" CRT on secondary monitor.
Important Research Question - Monitor Resolution?I'm 1680x1050 widescreen at home. I sometimes use 1024x768 monitors, but after next summer, that will probably never happen again.
Important Research Question - Monitor Resolution?1024x768 CRT. LCD monitors are not good, OLED are not yet

Important Research Question - Monitor Resolution?1152 should be OK with what I'm planning, as I figure some people won't run it full-screen.
Not good for what? Every graphics professional in the world will be using an LCD monitor today. More importantly, any $200 LCD monitor is infinitely better than a 1024x768 CRT. Oh, and of course I meant 1280x960. It's just been so long since I had anything so low-res that I'd forgotten the dimensions. markholtuk, I would suggest that 18.5" is a little big to consider as a "laptop". Portable, maybe. Laptop, I don't think so. What brand is your 22" that it runs at 2k? Dell G7 (Hexa-Core i7)|Cubase Pro 10||Analog Keys|Ultranova|MicroMonsta|Uno|Skulpt|Craft Synth 2.0|
