Made with Orion 8 WASP-V synth for synths, DrumRack for drums and the new Venom VB-303 VSTi for bass and acid. Sounds and sequences were genetically generated with Mathematica 7.

New acid/techno track from memix has a clean sound to it....kind of balanced. however could use more bass.
the acid part could be more acidic and agressive...like h2so4 anyways this is more like the early 90s acid techno, like the early Chris Chowie style
New acid/techno track from meYeah, I haven't progressed much musically since the early 90s, but then that for me was the height of music. I'll take it as a compliment! I'll add some more bass and some nitro to the acid and re-upload. Maybe it's time to get some better monitors. The bass sounds quite nice and tight on my Edirol MA-10s. Glad you think the mix is clean though - there's a lot going on in there, especially towards the end.
Anyway, thanks for listening, your comments are always welcome. Mark p.s. Did you get my e-mail? Probably redundant now you've got the link from above!
New acid/techno track from meyes mark i got ur email...and look some mysterious person has rated one of your songs!
New acid/techno track from meOooh, I wonder who that might have been?
Thanks mysterious person. BTW, which tracks were you after specifically?
New acid/techno track from meGreat how it builds into that steam blast sound. Very 'acidic'. I was hoping to hear more radical filter patterns and such to show off OP8.
No offence to you or OP8, but this sounds like it could've been done just as easily on OP6 with MonoBass and and such. Good tune though, and like the arrangement and production.
New acid/techno track from meLOved it, and listened to it while reading the KVR thread too. Good to see Krim's stll rocking the boat again over there !!

New acid/techno track from meDS: Thanks for listening and glad you like it. There's some Automation Track from O8 going on in there. I think I need to bring the 303 stuff up a bit to hear it - maybe some more radical EQing since the spectrum was getting pretty full when I decided to upload. I guess I could do something similar, but the whole track grew out of playing with this new VSTi (Venom VB-303). I get that sometimes. Playing with a new synth and then something just happens.
DEE: Thank you too and glad you like it. I saw one comment over at KvR that Krim is 'between bans'. I'll take on the suggestions and get to work on it again. Seems like more acid seems to be important! And hey, you can't have too much acid. Well, you can, but that's a different story
New acid/techno track from meI reckoned the filter ramps were probably with the automation track. I'm just so used to recording mine 'on the fly' and tidying them up in Event Editor after. But the precision was nice to hear on this.
No worries for doing more to 'show off' OP8 with this tune. It's good as is.
New acid/techno track from meStraight in at #2 in Soundclick's Electronica/Acid chart. Thanks for listening and rating!
Steven, I thought you were on the beta-testing team. If you are I suggest you try it out. O8 is rock solid and lots of fun to work with.
New acid/techno track from mejust listened to it on my inear headphones. I like the track. Sound good (on headphones). Might give it a try tonight.

Well done, it's a good track! I might give that 303 clone a whirl, didn't fancy it, not being able to play midi keys with it, but then a 303 sequence only comes to life when you hit play anyway! I am #1 on Soundclicks Electronica/Retro Acid/With a little bit of fluff and dust/ sub chart
New acid/techno track from meI managed to hack the patterns and wrote a program to randomly select steps from each of the example patterns that came with the synth. I can send you your own set over if you send me your e-mail address. They're a bit hit and miss, but much more fun than trying to program the damn thing. I figured that since a lot of people used to say they programmed TB's randomly until they got something they liked, my hands off randomisation followed by selection probably wasn't too different. You also get nice effects by putting different note lengths in the piano roll. Each time a note on is received the synth's pattern is retriggered.
New acid/techno track from meI often just make a 4 or 8 step sequence and draw with the mouse until something hits, or throw a spanner in the works and go 3 or 6 step. Sure send it over contact@eightminuseight.co.uk

I've been retiscent to try OP8, though Rich has been after me to give it a whirl. After the glitches with Real Guitar and other timing issues with 7.xx I really don't want to go through that again. I've gotten a lot of my pending work done now though, and if you think it's pretty solid... Maybe I should put it through it's paces? Just really happy with 7.62 currently, and don't want to 'rock the boat'.
