Gammon Steak - New technoCan I have slice of pineapple on that? I think the drum set lets this down imo. The crash in particular is very weak. Other than that, not to shabby
Gammon Steak - New technoLike the synth stuff, but have to agree with Dee on the drums. The percussion and snares okay. But something about the BD, Crash, and possibly ride just leaves it flat?
Gammon Steak - New technoHmmm... It was pretty flat... No dynamics... The drum pattern was kind of dull... Dull Techno... Sorry... Me? I would have whacked some glitch elements in there!
Keep it up! I am dreading the day when I put a track in your firing line, but I will do it!
Gammon Steak - New technoHi Steven,
loved it, don't change a fucking thing, don't listen to those young bucks and ole farts, i'm getting really pissed off by all these wankers who think music should sound like their pre conceived ideas of the styles they are into, fuck that and their mediocracy, most of them are still sucking off their mothers tit, even the old ones take care thomas

Gammon Steak - New technogreat sir robpukesynapse,
wish i could show you that horse icon that shits all over your head, but i'm too busy making non supermarket musik...
Gammon Steak - New technoI like it, though I do agree that the 707 crash sounds wrong in this context. Maybe a bit of reverb on it would help.

I guess you're not my cuppa tea... :biglol: :p
Gammon Steak - New technoThanks guys.
I don't mind negative comments at all, so feel free to say what you want about my music. Listening back after comments like this helps me reflect on the tune, and the crash is definately weak. The reason I used the 707 was just to make it sound a bit different. Most generic techno tracks are classic 909/808 and I wanted it just to sound different, i.e. "Another generic techno track, but the drums are different" so it might stick in peoples head.
Gammon Steak - New technoYou are very welcome!
I try to be constructive.
Gammon Steak - New technoIt's a great tune musically Steve. And hear what you're saying about 'tha standard 909 sound'. Like I said, the snare and HH work.
But the BD and Crash need some 'umph'. Obviously, you've got a fan in Cuppa now, so you may want to alternate so he doesn't think you 'sold out'. Start off with fresh bits, and cut to the throwback sounds. Or start with the throwback, and BOOM! It all gets fresh. You win either way then.
Gammon Steak - New technoIt makes me freak when it comes to creating my track... I don't know if it'll be any good... But I'll post a link to the results! I am prepared to take any feedback! Good or bad... As long as it's constructive!
Gammon Steak - New technoSteven got a fan out of Cuppa with this tune, even though it's not totally my cup of tea either. But it works perfect for Cuppa, regardless of us nay sayers - so there's the fork in the road for Steven.
You can please some of the people some of the time... Or you can please the piss out of Cuppa with a good old 707. :superlol:
