To be honest I don`t think this place is for anything else but Orion, rather than promotion.
I only really post anything from my labels or releases here as I use Orion and I like to essentially give encouragement to Orion users about what can be done with the software.
I think it is good for Orion to have some of it`s professional users posting on the forum.
And synapse, you do seem like a bit of a wind up merchant.
I don`t see how bones would be into anything from my Voidloss output as it isn`t EBM/Darkwave
As for genres, you can produce anything with Orion.
If you go to my mysapce http://www.myspace.com/dirtybassvoidloss
I have some stuff from my forthcoming album and some stuff from soundtrack work on there, spanning from classical orchestral to techno to IDM to breakbeat and so on.

No I dont think so. really no. when people post music here it's not for being recognizned as a electronic musician dude...it's more for the the mind of <hat other people will think of it...It's more about the mix. I think that the relathionship we can have here are clearly defined on these technical aspect: the mix, the loudness, the limiting, the mastering... And that 's a think I like here. Not like on Image Line forum.

that`s very nice of you, thanks

Hmmm... I don't see how... Do you feel wound up? Well, I would imagine that bones may not care too much for genre. bones may like your music on the basis that he may find your music good and / dark enough for his tastes. As a whole the genre is not so important as much as the capability to move the listener. For example I had no idea where I would put 'Come To Daddy' by Aphex Twin when I first heard it. All I knew is that I had to have it.

Well you do come across a little troll-like, I`m sure I`m not the only one who has noticed. I know bones isn`t into dance music, or indeed industrial music at all, so I doubt he would dig what I do, or the labels I am involved in. If he was then probably would have done something very very wrong.

Whatever that means... You never know... bones might like it... It's pretty dark and the video is creepy!

I've not heard anything from him that has vocals. Without vocals it's just music. I listen to songs, instrumental pieces bore me to tears. Music is easy, especially these days, but song-writing is still a much tougher craft and requires a hell of a lot more effort. If we didn't need to write lyrics and fit them into the arrangement, we could do two or three albums a year, instead of an album every two or three years. Would you buy music from anyone on this forum?Come now bones, there`s nothing tough about writing pseudo EBM lyrics is there? you probably can do it in your sleep.
I gave up writing songs when my band fell out with beggars banquet many many years ago. I`d rather make music and not have to stifle it with the self obsession of words. Songs mostly feel too pop based mentality for me. Unless it is something more freeform and flowing such as bjork, or anthony and the johnsons, sigur ros, something like that, anything that gets away from crappy verse chorus pop tedium Writing songs is a doddle. Read Bill Drummonds book and follow the formula. Verse, chorus, verse chorus, middle 8, chorus chorus end Yeuch. I`m much more into writing classical pieces now, faaaaar more challenging musically. Changing scales and time signatures really stretches your artistic skills.
Would you buy music from anyone on this forum?to me, real techno has nothing to do with vocals, and the traditional pattern "Verse, chorus, verse chorus, middle 8, chorus chorus end"
only commercial music do that. Actually I'm doing this in my tracks when I canno't create more progressive tracks. lack of imagination. I don't like vocals, execpt it adds some special sounding to the mix. anyway these voice / guitars / acoustic drums have been heard millions of time. also if song writing is far more difficult, then what a pity because I never listen to them... (french songs are ridiculous) mendelsohn and tchaickovski have also useless concerto since there is no vocals. Ow inthe classics opera I never understand a shit of these words sung so high. I might miss something. Last edited by Eklectro on Mon Jul 27, 2009 10:45 am, edited 1 time in total.

Bizarre! Hmmm... I am sure that I could think of better ways to wind people up or taunt them. But I have no desire to do so. What could I possibly gain from it? What could I possibly taunt people with? The size of my knobs (synthesizer knobs)? I don't think so! :biglol: Please, put your suspicions away and let's get talking! Anyway, I genuinely find it interesting as to the nature of the support there is for each other as well as the diversity of music genres here. I am also mildly disturbed about what bones said about not finding the music worth listening to (or words to that effect). Hmmm... I was thinking... Would it be worth it to have some forum sections based on genres of music? It could be worthwhile... I envision tutorials for beginners wanting to create music... Members could download Orion files and disect how a certain music was created. Would anyone agree? Genre sections could encourage reviews of each others music! Just thinking out loud... There's nothing subliminal going on other than what's in the text. If you're taking anything I have written out of context it could a sign that there's something wrong...
Would you buy music from anyone on this forum?Been done, it's called www.orion-reloaded.com, stick some of your .sfs file up and we'll dissect them for you
