Hi folks,
Need your help. Just creating a new bassline for a project. Could you please listen to the demo of the bassline and give me some feedback how it sounds on your system.
As it will be a heavy and dirty one, I must pay attention not to make it too massive.

New BasslineSounds great to me! The only thing I'd suggest is when the riff picks up to lessen the attack so it's a little more punchier. It's a rump tickler for sure.

New Basslinesounds good here. You'll just have to watch the freq's to make sure they don't clash with the kick, but you already know that of course. Sounds like there's plenty of space for the kick to me.
New BasslineThanks for your feedback, guys.
@Icaro: Yes, the kick got fixed. It interfered a bit with the bassline in the demo in the second part. Also cleaned the bassline a bit. Sounds great now.
New BasslineAt my focals it sounds a little louder than the kick. Yoy definatelly need a sidechain compressor. Nice tune there
Edit: Just read that you fixed it nice. I hear some kick and bass clutter every 3rd kick or something, a sidechain comp is definatelly gonna fix this if you didnt put one already. Last edited by Vicious_Angel on Wed Aug 05, 2009 9:37 am, edited 1 time in total.

Hi Vicious, it was side chained but the compressor settings were not that great. The recent sound is clear. No clutter. Last edited by DaZoid on Wed Aug 05, 2009 10:07 am, edited 1 time in total.
New BasslineHmmm... I am not too sure... I do think the kick is too low at present...
New BasslineHi DaZoid!
How do you actually do that cool pumping side chain effect in the bass? Could you offer little sfs sample?
New Bassline
The bassline is side chained. You have to add a compressor to the bassline, sidechain it by choosing the kick and then play around with the compressor until you got the right pumping. TIPP: Do not actually use the kick but copy the kick -> so you have two kicks. Mute the 2nd one and sidechain the bassline to it. The trick is that during your track, the kick might stop playing. Then you have no sidechain anymore for the bassline. That's why people use a 2nd one for sc control. Might send you an sfs tonight, if enough time...
New Bassline
it's only a demo. The kick and everything else is fine in the final version here But thanks!
New BasslineCan't wait to hear the final version!
