Hopefully someone can help me out.
here is what I am trying to do (I have had it working but not entirely sure what I did)
1. I have 1 instance of Low Cut an 1 instance of MidiOut
2. I want one of the assignable knobs to control the Frequency knob (so I can easily have pattern based automation)
This is what I have tried
1. Low Cut -> Receive MIDI from generator and selected MidiOut
2. Low Cut -> Link to next MIDI Controller - then tried moving the knob on the MidiOut
It's not working (and probably for a good reason), but some sorta combination has worked for me before.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Re: HELP MIDIOutHello,
1) Insert effect 2) right click knob/parameter and link to hardware controller 3) insert midi-out and link a knob to same hardware controller knob 4) select "receive midi from midi-out" on effect 5) if in easy mode, bring midi-out back to the front and turn hardware controller knob (both knobs move) 6) right click midi-out knob and select edit pattern events and draw or record your automation. 7) You can even save the automation as a style to use later. (see below) I just cobbled this together as an example. I inserted a drumrack and selected an old user style. I inserted a stereo delay on the snare and a phaser on the closed high hat. One midi-out is controlling the dry/wet on the delay and another is controlling the mix level on the phaser. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/10622938/FXomation.sfs I also saved each automation as a pattern style (I try to save midi-out pattern automation fades and such as styles to be easily dropped into other tracks, and for sharing purposes). https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/10622938/onoffmidiout2fx.sty https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/10622938/fadeinholdfadeoutmidiout2fx.sty -7zark7
Re: HELP MIDIOutI'm pretty sure you cannot do stuff like that because the effect loses focus as soon as you try to move the knob on the MIDI Machine.

Re: HELP MIDIOutThanks guys.
It seems to be working better than I had it before. Still not 100% it works everytime, but I am sure I will understand it eventually.
Re: HELP MIDIOutI use the method in the link I posted to pattern-automate (rather than song automate) the cutoff in the filter delay. Works fine until you stop the song as the feedback from the delay continues and builds into some horrible screaching feedback. Just got to be aware of that, works fine otherwise.
Re: HELP MIDIOut
I'm pretty sure that you are incorrect, as i have just provided a working example and have used it successfully in other projects. -7zark7
Re: HELP MIDIOut
My example is also pattern automation.
