Yes maybe I'm misunderstanding what he wants to do but if I'm correct in my interpretation I'd say just lasso, move, and insert whatever pattern you want to play at that point in the timeline. But again maybe I'm misreading it.........

select two patterns that will be within the range you want>> merge items>> delete extra notes>> repeat>> done

That's another easier way!

Actually, it gets easier than this since you can merge all the instruments patterns you selected at once, then just resize all patterns by one bar from playlist (no deleteing notes). Would take 20 seconds to accomplish.

So thanks for the responses on here.

Moving the blank bar over the end works perfect for me.

However, I hadn't even seen this merge option until today!
I am not entirely sure how it works though.
After creating a new song, I made a 4 bar pattern.
If wanted this to lose the last bar (without manually dragging, or manually making a new pattern) how would I do this with merge (I appreciate if it was only 1 pattern, I would be easier just making the new pattern manually)

I wonder how many other things are lurking in Orion that I don't know about.

Highlight two pattern lenghts from all generators around 112 (you can select and merge multiple targets), then merge. A new pattern is created for you manually, then go to the right of each new pattern and drag and shorten it to the left for one bar.
