I believe so? I know off a keyboard it is. Just have to find the octave is all, so try your F3 or 2 or 4 if need be.

you need to make the QWERTY kybd your trigger, then find out how to change octaves and it should work (never tried, i use a MIDI controller)

check the manual for details (i think you need to press F12 to make it trigger...)

Thank you for your replies.

I do have a midi keyboard.. but it's in storage at the moment pending a house move. I just wondered how to use my QWERTY keyboard in the meantime.

Yep. it works. Just make sure your F12 is on, and scoot around the octaves. ;)

I'm sorry but I don't know how to go about doing that..

Any chance that you could explain in baby steps ??

If you can.. it will be much appreciated. If you can't that's okay. I still appreciate you taking time to reply in the first place.

Cheers... ad

the F12 key on the keyboard turns on and off the qwerty keyboard for playing notes. It's also under Options on the main menu as Virtual MIDI keyboard.

when qwerty keyboard is on.. F2 - F8 will change octave.

In the Audio Output settings you may need to set it to Always be on.

Also, be sure to use the keys just above the SPACE bar, skip the row from A to L and try Q to P if you have to. A-L and the # keys are your sharps and minor keys. I believe the DR is only mapped to the major keys.

(Thanks V/M ;) )

..i think you mean sharps, flats and naturals.
not sharps, minor, and major.

Yeah, I'm busted. But I don't think Afterdark is going to be sticking the Conservatory cops on me.

Those 'other' keys. ;)
