midi devicesIs it possible to run more than one midi controller at the same time?
midi devicesWe typically have three going on stage. My KB37 is the MIDI controller that I use to play softsynths, Sik uses my MIDIsport USB with his SPD-20 and I have the microX set-up. The microX is there mostly to be controlled but on a couple of songs it also controls a synth or two, to fatten up the sound [easier than stuffing around with combinations].

midi devicesDepending on your MIDI Driver Icaro. This crazy Yamaha thing of mine allows for 16 in and out. and is totally configurable as 1 to 1, 1 to 2, 4 to 3, In, Within, and Out. Makes my damn head hurt!
But I think even a MS GM Midi driver can be capable of this now?
midi devicesok, so I need to configure this in advanced mode then right? I'm using an EWI, and an EMU X-Board 49. I have to set the EWI outside of Orion to a specific midi channel because that's how it's done with the EWI, and then configure the EMU to control the other channels?
When I'm in Orion, under MIDI-IN, I can select both, and program the channels the emu controls individually? So, if I'm in advanced mode, the EMU won't overide the EWI? The EWI only works on one channel, but the EMU obviously works on multiple ch's. Sorry to sound so much like a nude bee, but I haven't had to do anything like this before. midi devicesNot up on the Emu - but I think it's what is called 'ports'. On my Yamaha my MIDI keyboard goes to Port 1, another keyboard would go to Port 2, and so on. Usually by default, they are set in a diagonal fashion 1 to 1, 2 to 2, and so on. Yamaha allows me to configure many to port 1 (2 to 1, 3 to 1, etc.) So you may have to do this with your Emu's Patchbay mapping as well. (Mines in Control Settings, hoopefully yours is too?)
midi devicesok, just tried it, and it works fine.
The EMU has a MIDI ch. Button that I discovered today, and figured out how to work it in the advanced mode. This is really killer. I can run both controllers flawlessly at the same time. Just need to take the time to program them now.
