new computer : what OS ?

Postby Christophe » Tue Sep 29, 2009 1:22 pm

hi,
i will buy a new computer in a few weeks or months (but not year ;-)
i have XP 32 bit but i am tempted by windows 7 64 bits
i understood that windows 64 bit support more memory but i have to use orion 64 ?
i suppose this configuration is not working :
windows 7 64 bits + orion 64 + 32 bits vsti
but i can use windows 7 64 bits + orion 32 bits + 32 bits vsti
any help appreciated
best regards

Yes, you have it about right. You should be able to run Orion 32 bit on a 64 bit OS without any problems. Personally, I see no reason to bother unless you really, really, really need more memory.

Thought I was getting a great deal on a 'basic computer' on the internet. When it arrived, it was definately BASIC. :superlol:

I was a hold out on W2K, but I think Krim's serious when he says 98SE. He's the Ted Kazinsky of us all, secluded in his shack writing his Orion Manifesto. You go Krim! ;)
