I'm looking to get some tips on how to achieve a swirling sparkling almost psychedelic sound. to see what I mean take a listen to Pure on this artists' bandcamp website (Great synth artist by the way, and a good website to sell/host your music on too): http://blackbirdblackbird.bandcamp.com/
Do you think an arpegiator would be best for this? It also sounds as though some "sparkles" hit stronger in the left ear and others in the right, that really makes you feel surrounded, if you know what I mean. What sort of added effect can do that?
Many thanks!

Swirling Psychedelic Soundwhen you say "Swirling Psychedelic" my first thought, without listening to the band, is phaser (phase-shifter) and/or flanger.
Can you point to one song on this page that especially has what you're talking about?
Swirling Psychedelic SoundOh sorry.. absolutely. 'Pure' is a good example. (I think track number 3)
Swirling Psychedelic Soundyou mean something like this?
Swirling Psychedelic Soundsuneel, that's fantastic! How did you do that?
Swirling Psychedelic Soundsingle note on wasp + EQ + z3ta fx (quad phaser)---->+ ring mod (on/off) + exciter +EQ
Swirling Psychedelic SoundThanks. I'm still new to this, how do I get to the z3ta fx (quad phaser)?
Swirling Psychedelic Soundz3ta is a vsti from cakewalk, if you have installed it, it automatically comes in the fx section. its not an orion native plugin.
i will try to make an orion only version for download
Swirling Psychedelic SoundAh - so there's no way to get something similiar with Orion alone? What about some of the echoing keys in the opening of this Gorillaz song? http://www.songarea.com/mc/2/empire_ants_gorillaz.html
(Blackbird Blackbird does some stuff like it a lot)
Swirling Psychedelic Soundi have uploaded the native version at orion-reloaded. i am not sure how long it would take to approve the file. come on mate, try to figure it out yourself. echoing keys are produced by echo obviously or delay. or simply by repeating the key progressively decreasing velocity.
Re: Swirling Psychedelic SoundBlimey I love this band!!!!
Thanks for sharing http://blackbirdblackbird.bandcamp.com/ ... mmer-heart
