Hi,
I've just bought Hydra to use in a max/msp project I'm working on.
I may have missed something somewhere, but isn't it possible to save any presets that I edit into the default presets menu? (Or anywhere else for that matter). And is there a way to save and load banks of presets? I looked in the manual, and searched the forum, but couldn't find anything.
And - am I right that there isn't a noise source in the oscillator waveforms?
Apart from that - I love the sound of Hydra.
Thanks
David

Saving edited Hydra presetsYou can save individual patches as .prs files to any location you choose.
To do the bank, save the current bank off under a diff name eg Davebank01 using the .fxb extension in the dropdown menu. When you load your new bank you can modify the preset, rename it and re save the bank. Enjoy. Cheers. ---=u f o=--- /Radiation Mutant / Snee-Nee-Iq
Saving edited Hydra presetsThanks for that - I'll have a look when I get everything set up again tomorrow.
What I'm not clear on is _how_ to save - if I edit an existing preset, how do I save the changes to the default preset menu? I can't see a Save item or menu anywhere (and there doesn't seem to be any mention of that in the manual either). Sorry if I'm being dense!
Saving edited Hydra presetsthere should be a load icon (folder) and save icon (floppy) to the right of the pre set window in the generator's toolbar. If you want to overwrite one, just hit the save button.

Saving edited Hydra presetsAh, ok - I see that in Cubase. So it's part of what the host does rather than the plugin. There are _some plugins that have their own preset save/load functions (Ohmboyz stuff for example), but also lots that don't. Guess I'll have to roll my own in max.
thanks for the help. David
