Is there a certain name for the type of organ being used in Intervention by Arcade Fire? (Song here: http://www.playlist.com/playlist/additem/430430225 ) I'm looking for a virtual plugin that sounds as massive as this, but between Orion and Garageband I ca't find an organ that sounds like it.
Thanks.

OrganIt is church organ !
In my Youtube-video "#100 FINEST SYNTHESIZER SOUNDS for TOXIC 3" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rKCjaNUApDs it sounds "#69 Church organ" 4:37-5:20. Around 5:10- You can listen a chord (many notes at the same time), which could approach that Arcade sound somebit.. except that Arcade perhaps has somebit simpler chord, many same name notes at the same time, I think. (Like c1,c2,c3 or c1,g1,c2,g2,etc). Organs are like 18th century "synthesizers", where the sound depends on organ stop (register). That's might be problem here. Perhaps You should get right adjustments, too. And a lot of reverb ...
Organ
If you can get a section of just (or mostly) the organ sound as a wav file, I might be able to tell you what harmonics are there and what amplitudes they are (mathematically-derived) so that you can recreate the patch with an organ VSTi and/or the new Synapse synth when it comes out
