Hi,
Please, watch the video and tell us( I really hope, someone in here, can) how we can do the same sound effects with Orion?..

Re: how to make it?..
But I see it has the same start string as the link you send me in PM... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=enxncMtuk-E Well, if you watch the video carefully, you'll see they used a 3 oscillator synth (like Wasp), set OSC 1 waveform to Noise, turned volumes for OSC 2 and 3 all the way down, so basically, only 1 oscillator is working. So, by that, basically any synth with a noise selection for the oscillator should do. Also they've set an effects channel (where it says FX: 1). You can do that two ways in Orion, depending on the chain you want to get: via inserts, or sends. Inserts work in a straight forward way, following the signal path. Sends can give you more of a dry/wet ability to control the amount of the overall effects applied. So, it's really your choice. Try both and see what works for you. Next, the effects chain... Parametric EQ, which is basically a 7-band EQ. Orion has one too. Following the settings there, put gain on the highest band, lower the bass frequencies all the way down. Then they used another Parametric EQ, but to me that just seems redundant: you can do all that with just one. Generally, you need to keep around 6kHz with about 10% of the band. Use the Q control on the Parametric EQ to do that; higher Q - less bandwidth, and use your ears to hear what sounds good to you. As for the automation, you can automate the CutOff filter to get that effect. Just open up that synth's pattern editor, click on the EVT button in the bottom right corner, from the drop down list select Cutoff (or whatever it would be called if you're using some other synth) and using a line tool, draw an automation from top down across the entire pattern (you'll probably need a few tries to get it right - don't worry, most of us do ). And voila. Your first swoosh kind of sound. That's the basic of it. Next thing they did are set up bunch of other effects to make it sound "more appealing" (while instead only sounds bad, in my opinion)... Phaser, Chorus and 2 Delays. You can set practically any effect you want/like as long as you know what it does and how it does it. That's it. From that point on, it's pretty much all experimenting. SoundCloud ::: Facebook
Re: how to make it?..Hi Martin,
here's a little demo song. Just press play. I added a long note already. http://www.gabrielknight.de/Music/wind.rar Do the following. 1. Press play 2. Slowly move the CUTOFF knob (left upper corner of WASP) up and down. -> That should do the trick. If you want to, you can switch on the Phaser later. But first play around a bit with the CUTOFF. You can also switch from LP (low pass) to HP (high pass) if you need a high reange swift. Best thing is... Just play around. Cheers DaZoid
Re: how to make it?..Hi DaZoid.
Thanks for your help. Now I think, I get the point very soon. Best regards Martin
