I had big problems understanding how to use the MM Amount destinations in Dune until a couple of days ago.
Been reading the manual back and forth and not really getting the hang of what they mean.
The main reason I did not get what they meant directly, was because they never introduced an explanation for the "Modulation Slot" that they are refering to in the document you get with Dune.
Basicly in the modulation matrix, there are numbers on the left of the modulation window. At first, i just thought they existed for us to be able to keep track of where we are doing stuff and being able to remember it. Turns out those numbers equals the numbers of the MM Amount you can choose as destination. So yes, those numbers/rows/boxes are the modulation slots.
So basicly, lets say we have this modulation window:
I have LFO1 controlling the Filter Cutoff on a set rate.
By using LFO 3 as source with an amount of +100 i now set MM Amount 2 as destination.
This means the cycle LFO 3 preforms will end up on modulated on top the LFO 1 cycle, since i pointed everything to modulation slot 2.
And yes, as said, you want to pick the MM Amount NR that equals the the numbers to the left in the modulation matrix window to be able to preform bigger modulations than those you see in modulation slot 4.
Hope this clears it up for you

Re: [Tutorial] MM Amount & Modulation Slots in DuneI figured the MM (Mod Matrix) Amount # in the dest menu ref to these slots because there are 24.
And it is awesome no? I have used it extensively. ---=u f o=--- /Radiation Mutant / Snee-Nee-Iq
