Hi,
if anyone has troubles with Orion 8.5 64bit and EMU audio-ASIO drivers simple install ASIO4All and select the required EMU-Outputs. It works well when selecting one output in ASIO4All with a buffer size of 2048.
It's a matter of expirience to set additional values.
The problem here is that the latest EMU-Audio-Driver 2.3 beta ( from 06.2010 )is still working in 32bit even if its installed in Win7 64bit.
This causes audio-dropouts and crackles in Orion 8.5 64bit with the native EMU-ASIO, even if the latency is set to 100ms. A greater value is not possible.
I don't know if EMU still exists, but if so, why they don't offer a better driver for their hardware.
But in the described way it works well, even if using jBridge within Orion 8.5 64bit for 32bit plugins.

Re: Orion 8.5 64bit and EMU-ASIO
Hi Mr. Kriminal, the driver for PCI/PCIe EMU hardware is the same for all models. See at http://connect.creativelabs.com/emu/default.aspx This driver is from June 2010 and is the latest ( called Win7-beta driver for E-MU PCI/PCIe Products ). Normally (meaning with other hosts) I have no problems with the EMU hardware and drivers as well as with EMU-ASIO. If it should'nt be a issue with the EMU driver then with Orion 8.5 64bit internal handling of ASIO. But I have found a temporary solution.
