Hi,
Do you guys have any tips for resampling? I've got a toxic 3 patch that I want to bounce to wave and then load it up in Sampler. Any ideas?
Cheers,
KNJ

Re: resampling questionYep, just as you described.
Get the best sound you can out of the original sound (eq, compression etc), decide if you want time-based effects (reverb, delay) in the original sound or if you want to add them later - slicing up sounds with delays and reverb tails can be a pain and often sound strange when looped as the end of the loop is effected, but the beginning is not. Bounce / Render / Save to Disk in the highest quality you can. Or do you mean multisample? Creating a multisample of a synth patch in the Sampler? Same as above, sample in as many velocity layers as possible, keep in mind length of notes and loop points for note sustain in the Sampler. The more notes per octave you sample the better the end sound - less need for the sampler to shift the pitch from original to played note (eg C to F etc...). If you have any LFO / warble etc in the sound this will become more and more visible the more you shift a note away from its original pitch (eg an LFO at 120BPM on note C, will NOT be 120BPM on C#, D, D# etc....). So in short, if possible, sample every note at multiple velocities (5 is good). WIll make for a larger file but better sound.
Re: resampling questionI see that I can stream the entire song (render?). But how do I render just a specific pattern to audio?
Re: resampling questionYou can either solo the instrument, put a pattern in playlist and set the loop to be only on that specific pattern, or more easily, you can solo the instrument, put Orion in Pattern mode and stream that - it will stream just that one patter, and duration will be the longest taken from all generators pattern. So if you have a pattern that's 128 steps long, but you have on another instrument that has 256 steps long pattern, that will be the total length of the streamed pattern, in which case you'll only need to split in half.

Re: resampling questionAnd remember, if you are streaming just a pattern that also has time-based effects to add extra 'blank' patterns at the end to capture the effects, as Orion doesn't wrap effect tails.
Re: resampling questionthat did the trick, thanks again! Dug the tracks on your soundcloud too!
