Well shoot... as many years as I have been complaining of poor system performance, poor compatibility with various VST/VSTi/DX plug-ins, and the myriad of other issues that I have had with Orion... perhaps now would be a good time to stop waiting for the next update to magically solve the issues and actually try something I probably should have done long ago... abandon ship and try something that is proven more stable and usable. I feel liberated.
The other side of that coin is a sense of loss. I have used Orion for as long as I can remember. It was my first DAW and the only one I ever used with any sort of consistency. I'm excited to see what brave new world awaits... but terrified of the headaches to come, trying to learn new platforms...
