PLEASE can we get an AUTO-PAN FX?

hello!

never had too much use for an auto-panner, but i was watching a tutorial on how to produce GLITCH MUSIC in ableton live, and i've found a really clever use of auto pan -

it would need to have :

AMOUNT / RATE / and PHASE controls with the PHASE control knob being the most important so i can push the phase all the way up to 360 degrees....

a "sync to tempo" would also be really useful!

no longer available and i remember correctly, it only had 2 knobs....

what i need to do requires to be able to turn the PHASE all the way up to 360 degrees and then automate the rate...

There's the Stereo Pad/Width effect.

Could be done with pattern LFO automating the mixer pan knob, but then again... can't automate the automation for rate, so that's out. Having different automated rates on different patterns might do it, but I'm guessing that would be too much hassle.

You can try a free plugin by Cableguys called Pancake 2 but im not sure about that phase thing.

i found and downloaded pancake already, but although it is a VERY NICE auto-panner and FREE, it does not do what i need.

is there a way to automate the RATE of kill-o-rama?

i need to push the phase up to 360 degrees (this creates a more tremelo-like effect not a pan effect...) and then automate the RATE from very fast to very slow to create a stuttering glitch effect....

this can be done with ableton's auto panner in 2 seconds...
~sigh...

maybe i will try to see if i can get what i'm after with a tremelo effect...

Smartelectronix Superphaser

It might do the trick. Sounded cool when I tried your trick. Especially when messing with the feedback control.
I used the 32 bit with Jbridge in Orion 64. I'm not sure what the end result is that you are looking for, but now that I know I can get this result with a phaser, I will try to see if one of Orion's phasers can do it.

I'm not sure. It's probably one of those strange labels that comes up in the parameter drop-down in the Event Editor. A bit of trial and error should allow you to work it out. I might have a closer look later today.

CTRL+E with selected (focused) effect/instrument will also bring up Event Editor.
