I want Dune 3 on one of these new iPads. Really.....i want that. Since it´s a wishlist i just say it, knowing it will never happen.
So add an iOS version to my wishlist. I would pay whatever you want :D

VST3 has a better performance, more options, for example note expression, the resizeable gui is easier to implement. In addition, VST2 is no longer supported by Steinberg. VST3 is a must nowadays like 64bit for the OS and the software.

Not sure where you get that idea from. Tons of third party plugins are still VST2 only, VST2 IS still supported by Steinberg, it has to be!
Also VST3 doesn't offer any better performance, in fact it can be more of a pain for developers to code in sometimes.

Because 3 is more than 2 so VST3 must be better than VST2........

Vst4 is the latest, version 2 is not supported by steinberg any more. There are many improvements to vst3 over vst2, but the documentation I've read is a little sparse making it harder for developers. Vst3 is the future, no doubt all in good time. :D

This is what Steinberg had to say about VST3.

Seems v3.6.7.352 from 3/3/2017 is still the latest.

Dune 3 should have a fully-functional DAW inside of it ...

My wish would be a monthly plan to buy the software as lennar digital does as well as Xfer Serum...

Would it be possible?

Thanks a lot,
R

I hope that Dune 3 is on the way, that's exciting news. I'm pleased to see the Comb has been mentioned I've never understood why there wasn't a feedback especially seeing as there is a space made for it :)

I'd love to see more Modulators, but a wavetable editor would be top of the list for me. Also the LFO Sync is annoying because you can only sync to the host, there should be a mode where the LFOs are clocked to tempo but retrigger on a note polyphonically. I think I remember that correctly without getting it open right now, but there is something missing in the functionality.

Dune 2 is one of my favourite synths, it sounds great, it's light on CPU (which I hope won't change), insanely versatile and easy to program. I would like to see work going into ease of use and workflow to improve it even further, the MSEGs could be easier to work with and have more points available. Many developers don't put much time and thought into the end user experience and I really think it's very important. Serum and Alchemy have both done this well and I'm sure it has something to do with their success. I would love to see Dune 3 get this extra care and attention to what is already an excellent and clever workflow.

I have a few requests for future Dune 2/3 versions:

-The Legend filters for Dune
-Drag and drop modulation like in Serum
-Wavetable import from Wav files or image files

also a wavetable editor like where you can draw in the oscillators for additive synthesis would be nice

Congratulations to all of you for your wishes, the list began more than a year ago, it remains to be understood, by the developers if the Dune 3 project has started and at what point it is ...
