always room for tweaks I say.
As I have understood a lot of stuff may be overlooked due to space constraints on the GUI.
Possible solutions: Mod matrix (with modulatable amounts of course) on tab (2nd screen) can be as big as you want that way and allowing every possible parameter as a destination. yeah fcuking powerful.
This will give the LFOs and Mod ENV humungous possibilities.
Also the knob within a knob scenario as in Fabfilter stuff - this would allow adding stuff where there is no room.
And how about that OSC sync?
And what about adding one of those simple delays where you can program the delays on a seq grid? (Access style)
We may all need to chip in for wages for Rich.

Wasp xtras- the fat knob needs some corrections. some times the sound that comes out of the fat doesnt sound right. like some kind of compromise is being done.

Wasp xtrasI like the Wasp, but I agree that some tweaks would be positive. Most of the ideas that you; ufo, come up with I can definetly second.
Wasp xtrasI think it's unnecessary complication of a simple yet very powerfull synth as it is. Mod matrix? Seriously? Why do we even have Toxics then?
I agree some things could be improved, there's always room for that apparently. I hate it when a synth comes with tabs. It just seems like most parts are hidden. Last edited by HYPNAGOGIA on Thu Oct 08, 2009 4:05 pm, edited 1 time in total.

Wasp xtrasI dont use toxic either.
I luv the wasp sound. filters are the biz. fuck yeah. There are some little extras being requested for it for some years - more LFO shapes, more LFO destinations, more mod env destinations, osc sync - these things would have a great impact. I rekkon EVERYTHING should be an LFO mod destination. I use this machine A LOT, but surely would increase its use if I did not have to use other machines for these features. I strongly believe the mod matrix is the go opposed to adding seperate options to each LFO, ModEnv etc. Hey they even put them in real VAs. (?) No matter if these things never bloom - I have alternatives, but will always love my wasp. Maybe instead of upgrades a new machine based on the wasp with all of these requested additions. Call it the Hive. Last edited by ufo on Sun Oct 11, 2009 9:11 pm, edited 1 time in total.

Sync'ed to tempo, no less!
Wasp xtrasA fourth oscillator.
A third lfo. A second filter. And one mod matrix. :smile4: Last edited by sysscan on Sat Oct 24, 2009 8:42 am, edited 1 time in total.

So everything will have a lfo that will work in realtime when you play on your keyboard or do you have to create a track lfo that only works on playback?
Wasp xtrasNo, it's just a tweaked version of the same, limited LFO tool in the Piano Roll [see below].
Toxic is a 6-op FM synth with a bunch of useless krap added to overstuff it's GUI. It is a fundamentally different instrument to Wasp with a completely different sound.
Not really. You don't get any delay function and you can't sync it to note on very easily. It's a little bit better than the current one but fundamentally no more useful. e.g. If I put LFO mod on my cutoff, it adds itself to the cutoff value, so if I then automate the cutoff, I still get my LFO mod on top. With the LFO in the Piano Roll, you cant do that. Modulation will always have big advantages over automation. I am not a big fan of mod matrices, I must say. I used them quite a lot in my synths for a few years but I much prefer the system I use now, with assignable destination slots with each modulation source. It makes it much easier to work with whilst giving the same flexibility. I also see no reason whatsoever to add on-board effects.
