You can skin everything except for Toxic synths (the skins are embedded into them), and partially native effects - those without skins can have only knobs (shared) changed.

I think he means window borders. It is something Rich desperately wants to implement but I don't think he wants to do it himself. Meanwhile, if you are still on WinXP, download and use the Zune theme, it has the thinnest, least intrusive borders ever.

im running the damn slave windows 7,, still be it so funked up when attached to my crummy monitor... ahhh.... in time i will afford better hardware. i might as well stop my bitchen... but shissssneeetzz.. i cant see the problem... the mixer, master songplaylist all have customizable windows shapes and forms.. just scroll into any corner and new slave icon appears to resize... its best when all parts of the vst dont fit on scree

Oh, the borders. Yeah, MS fucked that up pretty good, even their own themes don't work right.

I'm on W7, and every application that uses child windows has them in freaking baby-blue borders: Orion, Sound Forge, CorelDRAW... Themes just doesn't transpire to them, no matter what you do. It's annoying.

You can always revert Win7 to the "Classic" windoze look. That's what I've done on my Win7 machine.

But if you revert to classic you lose Aero...

Perhaps we finally get proper skinning with Windows 8, but that may not appear before 2012.

I doubt that will happen. They seem to have "missed" this since Vista, if all those articles and support threads are right. From all the pointers out there, seems like they wish to terminate MDI applications completely, but not before they bring a suitable replacement model for it. Right now, neither SDI or TDI can provide windows overview like MDI can... Especially in Orion's case, where it's essential to see multiple windows at the same time.

Neither do I but it's better than the alternative. In fact, I don't like Win7's Aero look nearly as much as I liked Vista. Vista's taskbar was really stylish, the new one looks like a last minute decision to make a change for it's own sake.
