Idea:
10 preset window layouts that you can save and recall with keyboard shortcuts.
Say Alt+Shift+( 1 to 0 ) saves all window placement ( instruments, effects, plugins )
Alt ( 1 to 0 ) recalls it.
for example you can drag around your windows and save following setups
Setup 1: All Instruments and Fx is minimized, only the two mixer windows are up ( recalled by alt+1 )
Setup 2: Show playlist + mixer, rest minimized
Setup 3: Instrument 1 + Instrument 2 in split view, piano roll open, both taking 1/2 screen. One at top, one at bottom.
Setup 4: Instrument 1 + Instrument 2 synth view open + all effects on instrument 1+2 open, rest minimized
by quickly choosing between alt 1 + 2 + 3 +4 you conveniently
- adjust mixer setting muting/soloing other instruments
- editing song playlist
- fine tuning two instrument patterns that are related to another ( i.e. you have two samplers one with muted electric guitar, other with dry electric guitar )
- change their effects
while this feature rarely might find full usage since you dont edit two intrument pattern at once that much - instantly reverting to mixers / playlist view would probably smoothen the workflow for everyone.
PS if a new effect/instrument is added after saving a window setup, it think it should be minimzed by default.
