Realized I hadn't checked the Synapse Audio website in ages, was really happy to see there's a 2.2. Loving the new additions.
I still find programming rhythmical curves in the MSEG (like in Massive) a little difficult. It feels like a snap option would work well, as currently it's possible to place points a little off the beat even though it displays x.1.1.
Anyone else feeling this? I see why freeform point placement is necessary but it'd be good to have an option to snap to beats for super precise work.
Anyway keep up the awesome work. I tell all my producer friends about this synth as I think it's the best one out there at the moment. Can't wait to see what you add next!

Re: Dune 2 MSEG improvementsYes, a snap to grid function would be beneficial in the meg section.

+1
Re: Dune 2 MSEG improvementsStronger snap will be good, but if MSEG will be improved, if i may, i want option for move points with all points are after this point. That means, if i have 12points and want rearange points where second point will have longer distance from first point and all other 10 points must be same, i have to move all 11 points. With this new option (i dont know ho w to name it), i simpli move with second point and all 10points will be moved with second point together.
Re: Dune 2 MSEG improvementsThe point moving option you're talking about is used in FM8 and Absynth's envelopes and is called lock and slide. When lock is enabled all points stay where they are and you can move each one individually, and when slide is enabled all points following the one you're moving move with it.
+1 for snap and lock and slide options
Re: Dune 2 MSEG improvementsi wanted to add it on my wishlist but didnt know if i just missed an option to enable snap ;D, still reading the manual!
Re: Dune 2 MSEG improvementsThere is definitely room for improvement in the MSEGs area. Devs could take hints from IL Harmor's graphic envelopes. They snap to grid, points can slide, there is a step editing mode where you can draw freely the points by hand, and even you can determine the shape of the line joining the points (single curve, double curve, stairs, hold, sine, etc..)

Worrying about what? SoundCloud ::: Facebook
Re: Dune 2 MSEG improvementsYes this can be improved. It actually does snap to grid when SYNC is active, it's just a rather fine grid so it may not be obvious.

Re: Dune 2 MSEG improvements1) I am missing a way to smooth the output of MSEGs (and maybe also in the LFOs?), such as when they have sharp edges and I want to smooth them, or to prevent sudden jumps or obtain more gradual glides. For example, Harmor and Serum have these features and I find them very useful.
2) And Serum's ability to draw step segments when shift key is pressed in the LFOs is also good. It could create custom arpeggiators easily, without having to draw each point manually. 3) The alt key could also be used to snap points to the grid.
