Dune Version 1.42 not showing up in Cubase

Hi

I just downloaded Dune 1.42. I'm on Mac OSX Mountain Lion, Running Cubase 6.5

Firstly, when I open Dune in Cubase it says I'm still using the 1.4, 32-bit version, even though I have installed the update.

Then, I also think it is very poor that the synth does not come with a proper uninstaller. How on earth does one completely uninstall Dune and all of it's components!? This way at least I'd be able to know for sure that Cubase is pointing towards the latest version of the software and not an older version.

On my computer, I only have an option to install the software for all users or on Machintosh HD. I select Mac HD. But I still cannot specify exactly where I want to put the plugin. Maybe this is part of the problem? Maybe I have multiple versions of the synth installed?

Please follow the steps below:
- go to the /Library/Audio/Plugins/Components folder
- remove Dune.component
- go to the /Library/Audio/Plugins/VST folder
- remove Dune.vst
- open Cubase and update vst plugins list
- close Cubase
- install Dune 1.42 (when Registration Tool will appear please provide the proper serial number)
- open Cubase and Dune should be visible and work

It still does not work!

I have tried everything.

Its like Cubase or my computer has an older version of the software stored somewhere? I just deleted everything - like you said. I quit Cubase. I installed the new version of Dune, restarted Cubase, scanned for new plugins. It found Dune, but then when I open it on a track it still says on the actual synth:

Dune v1.40 Engine v1.40 32-bit

This sucks!

Ah, then there is a small bug. It seems that the VST version for Mac OS X does not have its version number updated, but the AU version does. This means that you already use v1.42.
