Hey,
I just bought Ableton Live & i'm still kinda trying to find my way around. A friend showed me the VST Hydra a few days ago & i was convinced that this was a synth for me. So i bought it yesterday, installed it immediatly & had some fun with it but than i noticed a problem.
If i use my laptopkeyboard to play the synth or if i use the MIDInotebar section in ableton & add bars in the pattern i want, it sounds very different than when I use the mouse to click on the VSTsynthkeys themselves.
It looses all the depth, loudness & roughness when i use the first 2 options above.
I want my laptopkeyboard & the notebarsection to be as bangin as that click on the VST itself.
Any ideas ?

Re: hydra problemCheck the velocity you're using when using your computer keyboard- this should be configurable in Live. If you use the piano roll you can change velocity as well. Typically, velocity changes loudness but can affect other sound parameters as well (depends on the patch).
