Hi
I have two questions

1.I read the minimum requirements of the processor is iCore i5 with 2ghz or better.
I have an Intel Core 2 Duo e8400.
Will I be able to work as normally as possible with Dune2 ? ;)

2.I have a Dune 1. After when I purchase update from dune 1 to dune 2, will be installed update , dune 1 will replaced version of dune 2 ? or dune 2 will be installed parallel ?
I would prefer to have version 1 and 2 in my DAW ;)

from the website, right above the minimum requirements:

NOTE: Dune 2 is not compatible with Dune 1 in any way. Both run just fine in parallel, however.

as for your CPU, it should work ok, but you will find it will eat you CPU up quite quickly, so dont expect 5 note pads with long release times. As ususal, try the demo first tho, just to make sure.

thats strange, the host automation with the demo version works here in ableton 9.12!
i find the 30 days of demo testing a bit short to fully test it. 60 days would be more as fine.

here is my first testdrive:

2 wavetables, 1 osc and 1 noise :)
thats dune 2 power and yes i was able to automate the cutoff and render it with that.

I doubt there will be any updates for DUNE1.

It is quite possible that any future updates for DUNE would be just maintenance updates - in case new bugs emerge.

On a completely different note - and ON TOPIC - seems Computer Music already took their interest in DUNE 2 :D
They posted a YT video, a quick run of demo patches and some explanations behind them: watch here.

Here's two analog style bass and lead patches I did using Dune2.

Best is to try the demo if you're using an older processor. On my Core 2 Duo (Mac), which is also well below the minimum requirements, I can play back a full Logic project with three Dune 2 instances in it. In other configurations and/or with specific patches you may already struggle with just a single instance, however. It really depends on your system and how you use Dune 2.

Hi,
how do we normally know when there is an update and what has been changed/fixed?

I realised, quite by accident that there is a 2.02 for pc and 2.03 for mac although my access user area still shows them as 2.0 without a changelist.
Turns out the 2.02 fixed my last remaining problem with nuendo 32 bit running on windows 7 64 bit but I wouldn't have known it existed or fixed this without chance (I just happened to look at another bug report above mine) and trial and error (without a changelist, download and see if it works now).

thanks

by the way thanks for super quick fixes.

Lovin' it! Did you ever consider to add .sfz as a oscillator type like you did in zampler? Then Dune 2 could be an all purpose sound design platform which could give ReFX some shivers ;).

Hey guys. Trying the demo, I like the synth. I have two questions:
1. is there any way to get PWM from 0 to 50 percents? With matrix Const = -50 --> VA PWN is not working to negative width.
2, Is there any way to get sync to NEGATIVE (Zebra2 has). It is just a way to get something like asymmetric waveform
Thank you!
