Hello!
I bought Dune 2, because the sounds great. But now I can't believe that how small is the factory soundbank.
Sorry, if I make a mistake, but I'm not a sound designer, I don't have time to create sounds. Is there any factory sounds there or I must buy sound sets?
Thank you.

Re: Dune 2 factory soundbank is too smallI count about 360 presets in the factory banks.
Re: Dune 2 factory soundbank is too smallIf the 360 sounds that come included are not enough, you can get:
1. Rob Lee's DUNE 2 Essentials Vol. 1 2. Electronisounds Renegade EDM. 3. Art Renaissance Project DUNE Level 2. 4. Monomo DUNE 2 77 (free) And more..on forums...on the internet. But, as it is a new product, there are not many soundbanks available yet. More to come, though.
Re: Dune 2 factory soundbank is too smallSorry, but it's a problem if you think that this price is good for this synth. It's a joke for example there is only 14 presets of keys. I can't believe that is good to sell with only 373 presets. All of the other synths have 800-1200 patches as the same price. I think this synth is useful for sound designers, but not for musicians. In the webpage there is no datas about soundsets, soundbanks, so i don't know it. If know how small is it, I didn't pay for it.
Re: Dune 2 factory soundbank is too smallApparently, its quality over quantity....

Re: Dune 2 factory soundbank is too smallIs DUNE 2 a synthesizer or a preset player? No, but seriously..If you wanted ridiculous amounts of presets, you should have went with Sylenth1 or NEXUS..
Re: Dune 2 factory soundbank is too smallPlease look around the other synths, for example: Nemesis, Alchemy, Blue2…ect. (soundbank contains 800-1065 patches)
I understand you, but I think my opinion is true too. Thanks
Re: Dune 2 factory soundbank is too smallthose synths have been out for years.... (Blue2 contains some Blue1 presets)

Re: Dune 2 factory soundbank is too smallWell, some more would have been nice. But it's not such a drama.
Re: Dune 2 factory soundbank is too smallseriously, sylenth has available 1000 banks, wouldn't be surprised if there were 100k presets for that thing
Re: Dune 2 factory soundbank is too small...and they all sound the same...

Re: Dune 2 factory soundbank is too small
It's already getting the same with Spire....there seems to be a new bank out every week and they all sound very alike
Re: Dune 2 factory soundbank is too smalli want more presets too, and am waiting for more sound designers to get to work! (you know who you are... )
but the quality of D2 is what i bought into, and for that, am very happy. better than 800 sounds on a half-assed plugin. so, it's great as it is, but def need more 3rd-party soundsets...
Re: Dune 2 factory soundbank is too small
I can't believe anyone buys such an incredibly powerful synth and only wants to use presets. I'd be happy with Dune 2 if it only came with 20 presets. In fact, I think that would actually make it better. If you took the time you spend previewing even 360 presets, let alone 800-1200 of them, and put that into learning how to make your own, you might actually become a decent sound designer without too much effort. Because if you want to be considered any sort of musician, learning your tools of trade is as important as anything. i.e. Every half-decent musician will also be a good sound designer. If you are not, then you can't really consider yourself a musician, you are more like an "operator". Re: Dune 2 factory soundbank is too small
You are talking about synths that have been around for years. When any of those launched they only had a fraction of the number of presets available now. I'd also suggest that if you think there are 1065 really different presets for any synth, you are kidding yourself. Even the most amazingly versatile synth will probably only need 100 or so presets to cover the full sonic range of it's possibilities. After that it all starts repeating the same things over and over. Then there are hardware synth - you can pay thousands of dollars and, if you are really lucky, you might get four banks of 128 presets for them and even most of those will be variations on a few themes. e.g. My Novation Ultranova has about 20 good presets, each with about 6 very similar versions to fill out the sound banks and them some weird and whacky sounds to show the full range of possibilities.
