Mark, maybe you know if there will be some crucial/significant UI changes that might impact already made Skins appearance/behaviour/performance? this is very important for me as im not sure if to start developing a skin now or rather wait till the update.
I don't just yet, but I imagine it won't involve a major GUI change. My guess is it will be done via the central window. I'll ask Richard for you anyway.

Thanks for the offer. It's much appreciated. I won't be releasing what I intended to anymore though.. I'll maybe just release a waveform creator. Not a wavetable creator. The reason? Richard has told me that he has been working on a wavetable creator that will be built in to D2 that's almost ready. Great news for all!

My english isnt native, as i understand you will ask Richard? Thanks alot!
That´s very good news for me! I hope this will happen this year This will put Dune 2 back from my Nr. 3 to Nr. 1 synth I played with Nave and Serum and other synth which includes wavetable synthesis but for some reason i like it most in Dune 2, even when it´s just a part of the OSC. The transitions are very smooth. I find that the wavetables sounds not so digital cold like in Nave and Serum. It´s a matter of taste of course
Hello guys, first post here, is Audio-Term still the only (3rd party) way to generate .wt files for Dune2 ?
I have no problem making waveforms 2048-samples long but generating the required format (with specific header / bit-depth and band-limiting variations) is beyond my skill/knowledge. I've got ideas for some math based waveform and CZ-styled Phase-Distortion stuff to put into Dune2 wavetable, will share them if it goes well.
Mark is the man to answer this question. The WT creator he made for D2 worked well here but I'm not sure if it was ever released. He has also created a bunch of Wavetables. You guys should have a lot to talk about. He'll be along shortly I imagine.
The WT editor I was working on went on to the back burner in the belief that an editor would be built in to D2 directly. I can send you what I have so far. There are a couple of things I want to change still. PM me if interested
Out of interest, what are you using to mathematically generate your wave cycles?
I mostly use Plogue Bidule, and is learning Reaktor atm; also there's a open source plug-in called Protoplug that's basically a Lua code compiler for realtime audio.
Here is a test wavetable rendered with Audio-Term, the waveform was a Casio CZ clone but AT has a built-in re-synthesis policy that forbids unsymmetry and harmonics too complex that makes it somewhat tamed sounding. However I found this character interects well with Dune2's filter drive.
I downloaded Serum's demo a while ago, their editor is pretty creative, haven't dive into the formula system yet but I think the editor alone is a nice utility to play with.
