Is DUNE 2 going to be developed any further? Any plans?
Or is this as good as it will ever get? I am not complaining at all, because I love DUNE 2. Just wondering.

Re: DUNE 2 further developmentSure!
We're currently working on a AAX port for ProTools, Mac and Windows, should be out soon. At the same time we're making minor improvements here and there, probably will be a bundle release with all versions updated (VST/AU and AAX for the first time). Also we're planning to release new soundsets for DUNE 2 soon. Admin - Synapse Audio Software

Re: DUNE 2 further developmentExcellent, Richard. So glad to hear that. Can't wait. Any major upgrades on plans for the future?
Re: DUNE 2 further developmentNice to hear that. But please also something behind EDM. I mean i also make EDM here and there but my mean focus is ambient and cinematic (what else by this name;).I already voted Dune 2 for music radar's best software synth 2015. That means something. Of course there are other synths which are better in some areas. But while i played with all the toys like Omnisphere 2, Zebra 2, Alchemy (yeah, still works;) etc. i always come back to Dune 2 and it has a tone which i love so much. From all synths it comes with the best patches (not the most but the best) and the UI is clean and a joy to use. If i had a wish i would like to have more modulation targets and an option to draw my own waves. However, thank's for that great synth.
Re: DUNE 2 further developmentHey Richard!. Why don't you add a Q parameter on low/high shelf EQs. And while you're at it, a low/hi cut on the distortion would be nice too
..And more parameters for filter effects, such as the lowpass, highpass, notch, comb, etc. There's room for all of it.
Re: DUNE 2 further developmentHello
Any news on new sound banks for DUNE 2? I am really now into learning sound design, and have already recreated every patch from Premium Edm Vol. 1 5 times. Starting to get how things work...
Re: DUNE 2 further developmentThere is just one further development I would love to see:
A bigger sized screen allocation for the Mod Matrix. As it is now, the small window for the mod matrix can be a bit of a pain to navigate with more complex patches that utilize the matrix heavily. I would rather ditch the keyboard graphic at the bottom of the synth and have the Mod Matrix spread out there for better access and overview. Or even keep the keyboard graphics but make that pane switchable so you can chose to have it show the keyboard or mod matrix by default. There is a great workflow enhancement to be had from this. For us tweakers and sound designers.
Re: DUNE 2 further developmentNobody else feeling my feature request?

Where would you put effects then? SoundCloud ::: Facebook

No. Its good as it is. Windows 11 Home - 12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-12400 2.50 GHz -32GB RAM

Re: DUNE 2 further developmentI think better idea will be, new button in gui for switch to mod matrix panel - the whole synth GUI change to grid where will be tools for sources and destinations. Sources and destinations will be connected by wires that means one source can modulate more destinations. And each wire will have own value control, and will be displayed. And you can zoom in or out and move the view.
Re: DUNE 2 further development
Well, where is the FX1 when you switch to FX2 with the buttons? It would be switchable with a button (like you have now for FX, MSEG, Keyboard etc) So FX and MSEG panes would not be lost.
Re: DUNE 2 further development
I don't know about you, but I dislike having to scroll up and down in that little window pane to access all modulation slots.
Re: DUNE 2 further developmentWill you still work on Dune 2 to make the best synth even better?
I have a few suggestions that came up yesterday/today while i've spend a lot of time with it again: - More MSEG's. Sometimes i can need more then the 4, gives you even more possibilities. - An 1/4 Length in the MSEG's, to make short loops. - A wheel to set the start point for the LFO's. For example if you use a 1/4, it is onbeat but you want to play it offbeat or in between, i don't know how to make it without such a knob. - A really good distortion effect to make good tb303/acid sounds and others.
Re: DUNE 2 further developmentI was actually doing some acid on D2 last night. The crunch distortion was the best imo.
